Hey everyone! I am a 30 year old from Dallas, GA and am on a quest to loose weight! = ) I did this 2 years ago on here, and had great success over 40 lbs lost...well, that weight loss led to my another pregnancy where I gained it all and then some back! I need some support to keep me going and stay on track! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids, my husband works nights so after the kiddies are asleep is when I would binge out of boredom... I could use some buddies to keep me on this...anyone? = ) Wish me luck!!!
knowing that you have done this before and it was successful gives some of us newbies hope. Welcome back and it's time to get sexy again
Thanks and I agree, it is time to bring the sexy back. I really have tried every way to diet, and this is the best way I have found. When you write down and look at everything you eat, it is amazing! The first 2 weeks are the worst for me until my stomach goes back to a normal size and adjusts to the smaller portions, I also eat 5 very small meals a day. Well, time to get the kids to bed so I can pop in my cardio strip tease DVD, Carmen Electra really kicks my butt! = )
Welcome to the group! I'm new here too...and thought I'd give this a try.
I'm 37 years old and have at LEAST a good 25 pounds to lose, though when I put my info in here it would like me to lose about 45 pounds! Wow...I haven't weighed that little since I was in college!
My lowest weight was right after baby number 2 was born in October 2002...by that spring I was down to 130 or so and I felt pretty happy there. Then my "surprise" baby was conceived by the fall of that same year, and since he was born in July of 2004 it seems all I've done is slowly gain weight.
I've tried to diet but I always fall off the good eating wagon pretty early. Exercise is hard to fit in with 3 kids and working full-time. However recent photos of myself at my current weight of 154 tell me something has to be done and NOW.
I have my brothers wedding that I'll be in next spring as well as my 20-year high school reunion, so I'm hoping I can get myself back to a more comfortable weight by that time.
photos are what got me too, I saw one and was like okay, something needs to be done now. Let me know if you want to buddy up so we can try to stick to this together.
lizfitz78 - I'd be glad to buddy up so it will give me some extra motivation and keep me coming back here! Thanks!
I'd love to buddy up as well if you're keen! I look at my old highschool photos and wonder, how could I have let myself get to this point? I've lost some weight the last year or so, but I have a bit more to go. I'd ideally like to lose 15 Kg to 20 Kg more...but I'd be happy with 10 more to start! I didn't get this way overnight, nor am I going to lose it overnight as well. It's just great seeing that I'm not alone in this!
lets definately buddy up...that is the only way to stay on track! Tomorrow is my first weigh in, I have been doing so well this week, I am very excited to see some progress (hopefully) made. Keep in touch and let me know how its going and if you are having a tough day I will help get you through it instead of the food! = )
How can I make walking fun?
You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
