Newbie needs encouragement!
Hi everyone!
I'm looking to improve my lifestyle by being a bit more fit.
First of all I'm super weak, and I have a muffin top whenever I wear pants, and they're pants that fit! I guess I have a muffin top regardless if I wear pants or not...I am also tired of having to fix the fabric between my legs after lots of wearing. Darn thighs...
I usually get easily discouraged, whether it's not seeing any results or seeing others bodies that are superior to mine...which are easy to find. It really should be motivating to want it!! Work hard to acheive these goals, my brain says, but my body disagrees.
I'm hoping that this site will keep me focused on my goals and help me keep track of what I eat and what I burn.
Hi Sugarbunny,
Try not to get discouraged and instead of looking for the results, don't plan on the losing weight to happen because you are eating less. Just consider your daily calorie intake the new way you are going to live life. That way when the weight starts peeling off it will come as a pleasant surprise.
When people count on getting on a scale to see their weight loss, they are often discouraged when they don't lose enough, or any at all. You want to give yourself a chance to actually see the results.
Good luck and I hope to see you on here to share your journey!
Sugar Bunny,
I am also easily discouraged. This site is WONDERFUL! I am on this site more than anything, I check this more often than I check my e-mail! This site has been a tremendous resource for me, from work outs, recipes, articles, just talking to people that are going through the same thing... this site has been the major difference. Its easy to assume nothing is working because this is doing it the right way. CC is no fad, it's a lifestyle change. You arent 'dieting' you are changing your diet. Set many goals, long term and especially short term. I get down to 'I gotta get through the next five min on this elliptical' or 'Just THREE more reps wont kill me!' I was discouraged this morning, and my little sister pointed out.... go look in the mirror and convince yourself that what you see is acceptable to you. Hang in there, this site makes it totally easy and it's SO worth it!
