Hey everyone,

What an amazing site! Its very organized, and what a great way to meet new people who are going through the same issues as myself!!  Here's a little about me:

In May I turned 20, and realized I had enough of being overweight - being 5'1" and 191lbs wasn't good for me.  With the realization that I was heading on a spiraling downward path to destruction, and in the footsteps of my parents (both who have diabetes due to poor diet, and various other problems due to diet & diabetes) I realized I had enough.

That was 4 months ago - now I'm back to school (away from home) and still going strong, with a goal weight of 125-120.

I'm sure many people who live with roommates who have changed their lifestyles to accomodate a healthy life have difficulty with limiting alcohol, and resisiting snack foods that roommates eat!  I've only been back a week, and feel antsy looking at them eating chips!  I'll eat my apple thanks!

I'm sure there are alot of University and College students on this site who are going through the same thing as me, so it would be great to have buddies to talk to!
