my next travel destination...in Greece and/or Romania
Let's see...every year we have to go to Calarasi (where my parents in law live) so that means we always check out Bucharest (Bucuresti). So that's a plan, no matter what lol
Then , my next big vacay plan is Greece: Thessaloniki, Meteora, Athens and Aegina , hopefully tucked in 7 days...hopefully it won't ruin my budget either -- but then again it will be half business trip/half pleasure so my company will pay for some stuff...pfffuuu (think entrance tickets to museums and whatnot).
How abt you?
I will go for 5 days to one friend's home in East Greece, then I will go in Octomber in excursions in Thessaly (Plastira,Trikala,Meteora,Volos,Pilio..) and that's about it till Christmas when I go back to my island for vacation. Not impressive.
well my plans are for next year lol we are done wt vacations this year; our wedding anniv is coming up, then my birthday, then hubby's birthday...oh well, not that we'd be bored anyway ;)
Have fun, dimitra
I was planning to go in Summer 09 to Greece, that was when I was supposed to meet my "goal" weight and since I really have not lost any weight, I guess I may never get there!!! AHAH! Not really funny... I guess I should just plan the trip and go.
Which airport would I fly into if my goal was to reach the islands? How do you get to the islands, by boat or air?
Many islands receive direct flights from European capitals. You can get to the islands both by ferry or plane, it matters most your budget and how much time you dedicate to traveling. You'll always find connections - both air and ferry - from Athens/Piraeus (for the ferries). It also depends a lot on which islands you want to visit. Obviously Mykonos, Rhodes, Crete, Corfu get a lot of flights from all over Europe.
I want to avoid mid-summer so my goal is to get to Greece in May (hopefully).
cricket, I have been spending a lot of time perusing your website, it's awesome!! I sent the link to my good friend who knows I am trying to get to Greece sometime soon. Its very helpful, thank you.
oh wow thank you so much. i put my heart in there and the site has been doing quite well over this summer. obviously i cannot wait to add more things and personal opinions since I'm planning to get to Greece myself.
ps: it's not MY website, it's the company's (bootsnall) but I write everything on it :)
