When I started eating healthier/less five months ago, I thought/hoped I'd get thinner and fit my clothes better. But there were a lot of benefits that I never really thought about but are almost better:
More energy. Within a week of eating healthier (less salt, sat. fat and sugar, in particular), I felt energized. At the time, it was absolutely amazing. Now I'm used to it but wouldn't want to go back to the sluggishness I always felt before.
My fingernails, which were always cracking and tearing, are now thick and strong and healthy. That's what inspired this post because I've had horribly weak nails my whole life so to have strong nails is simply amazing to me!
What nice surprises have you encountered?
All of my blemishes disappeared!
Nice surprises...boy there are quite a few!
Increased energy
Increased self confidence
Better looking skin
Being able to paint my toenails
Seeing my collarbones (finally!)
Looking 10 years younger
Keeping up with the 20 yr olds on the dance floor!
That I actually LIKE to exercise now. Never in my life would I have thought it possible that I would. The side benefit of that is obvious-better health, better energy in every way and a better looking me!![]()
