Hey guys this is my first post but ive been counting cals on here for about a year now...
I am 19 and i am 5'2 and fluctuate between 110-115lbs. I'm not overweight by any means but i have some trouble areas regarding my lower body(butt and thighs) these pounds just wont go away and i am excercising every day and eating a fairly clean diet its just that at night... i eat-ALOT
The food i eat at night is fairly healthy and nutritious, its just that i dont really get hungry during the day and have left over cals at night thati must eat to reach a minimum caloric intake. I eat breakfast so thats not the problem, i just eat small amount during the day and then at night i eat large amounts of food. Does anyone else have this problem?? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can stop this from happening every day?? I think this is prolonging those last couple pounds i need to shed. Thanks so much

I mostly eat at night as well .
But only because I can't eat breakfast,
I end up with a churning stomach.
But yeah ..
I don't think it's bad eating at night as long as one doesn't go over their daily intake of calories..
but then again I could be wrong.

I do the same thing unless I eat a good dinner. If you're not hungry during the day, have dinner later and make something filling. Also, try to eat at least two light snacks, 1 between breakfast and lunch and 1 before dinner. worth a try.
also, if you're body is used to eating at the same time every day, that's when you'll feel hungry every day. So it's important to make an adjustment.
I'm in the exact same situation. I'm just not that hungry during the day, but at night I'm ravenous. Part of it is because I work at night. I agree with satan (never thought I'd say that!) about eating dinner later. I know I get hungry around 10 or 11 PM, so that's when I eat dinner which fills me up and discourages excessive snacking in the middle of the night.
I read somewhere that if you go to bed somewhat hungry, that is your metabolism working at burning the fat, and that if you do this you will wake up in the morning hungry for breakfast. Maybe by switching your routine up a little (going to bed a little earlier, perhaps) and adding a couple of sensible snacks during the day, your hunger pangs may decrease a litttle more. As someone who used to eat most of her daily calories between 7 and 11 p.m., I have found that by going for a walk around 8:00 p.m. and then throwing myself in bed with a good book has helped me decrease my nightime munchie episodes immensely. Good Luck!
same here. I can not face food until about 10:30 am. My hunger increases as the day wears on. I'm trying to postpone dinner until 7, but its hard and I rarely make it.
I think mine is just bad habits I've gotten over the yrs. I read one place that it takes ten times to do something before it becomes a habit or automatic. I keep trying to break the nighttime eating and have to say I am down to about 100calories at night. (around 10 pm)

Thanks so much guys! Thats all good advice!!
I am going to for sure try the dinner thing and consider that my cut off for the day. I will also try the snack thing. And as far as the 10 times habits thing, i have heard that too so i will give that a try as well!! Youre all so helpful. THanks so much :)

It doesn't matter what time of the day you eat... all that matters is
how many calories you eat. If you do a google search on
weight-loss myths, this one comes up as a myth.
