I know, it's tough.  I'm going through that right now.  Like I had two Rice Krispies Treats squares for 180 calories when I was already over my calories.  For me, it's out of boredom.  I've lost a good 120 lbs now (losing 2/10 lb this past week).  I'm still in the weight loss process, got another 38.2 or something like that to go until I go on the CC maintenance plan and it's going to be a while till I get there.  Advice: Try and think of something you could do to keep you away from nighttime eating, like if something needs to be done around the house, like cleaning up or whatnot, you could do that. You could go on a short walk around the neighborhood for a bit (I have to take my own advice on that actually).  Play a game of Yahtzee or something like that, something to keep your mind off food; I know, I have to do the same thing.

Eat a good amount of calories in the day. Distract yourself at night or go to bed earlier?

This is something i've been struggling with as well.  I'd be very interested to see if anyone has struggled with this and come up with some successful solutions!

i'm having this problem right now! i'm watching tv/on computer. i think its the habit of munching while watching tv. i'm not hungry, think i'm more addicted to the action. my solution is chewing gum and drinking diet lemonade!

Try drinking tea.  A good pepermint tea is basicaly calorieless and can be the sweet treat you're looking for after dinner.  Plus it does make you feel full.  Good luck.
