Nike + iPod
Has anyone ever tried the new Nike + iPod device?
I would like to know if you HAVE to get Nike shoes or if there is a way to use the sensor with regular shoes. I am thinking of getting it for my husband but he has "special" shoes he wears when he runs that are better for his feet than regular shoes.

No one?
plume you can only use it with an ipod nano. I think.
It's either the nono or the shuffle. It wont work with the video Pod. When it came out I called the find out about it because I wanted it so bad but when he said it only worked with nono I was sad. :(
The shoes cost about 80 bucks and the device from Nike cost about 30 bucks I think.
It's supposed to be really good but couldnt get it .

you have to get the Nike shoes that they sell because there is a slot that the devices fit into.
I velcro the sensor under the bottom laces on the tongue of my shoe and it works just fine.
the velcro thing is a good idea. I just did not know whether the sensor was supposed to be under you foot, in the slot, or if it could go somewhere else on the shoe or in you socks, perhaps.
Thanks!
Thanks!
While watching tv i dug a hole in my shoe under the insole. It works I don't feel it. I put the hole in the foot arch area of the shoe. But i bet you could move the velcro from one shoe to the next much better. I like to change up my shoes.

don't know where you folks are from, but in Canada, at a store called the running room, they created a holder that attaches to your laces, and you put the unit into the holder thingy. Works great, and no digging in your shoes.
Marware sells a pouch for the sensor - you can buy it on line.
The Marware pouch is a really great product.
Also, rahana316, the reason you can't use it with the iPod video is that you are not supposed to run with a video or a classic because they have a hard drive, while the Nanos and Shuffles have Flash Drives. It is really not good for your iPod to run with it, unless it's a Nano or Shuffle. Just FYI.
