Nike Shox Running shoes!!!!

Ok I dont know what I'm doing wrong here, but can some please please help me. So I bought a pair of these nike shox that were crazy over priced. The Sales lady measures my foot and started to explain (blah blah blah) about "oh you will do wonderful because your a new runner".

I fall for it and purchase a size 8 (i'm a size 7.5 reg shoes). I start working out with the new amazing shoes (sales pitch) and i have the worse blisters!!! I dont know what is going on! I cant return them because they are worn.

Could it be the way I run? Is it my socks?

Yell

Please advise!!!!!

If the shoes are too long, I tend to get blisters on the end of my toes.  It could just be that your feet aren't used to running and that is causing the blisters.  After a few weeks your feet will get tougher.

I've heard that runners buy a half size up in shoes bc they hit their toes against the tip so often that they can lose toenails (ewww!). So, I think that was a good idea. Mine are like that, also and it took a while to get used to it, but now I don't even notice it.

I would go to a shoe store and get some comfy insoles.  Me and my bf have asics and they are so light, but he put insoles in his and he swears by them. So, he had to pay $10-$15 more of the insoles, but he says they're worth it.

Try that and see what you think. Otherwise, return them/exchange them. Don't buy into that "no return" policy. If you really feel that you were suckered, take them back. TRUST me, if you're pursistent enough, you'll get your $$ back or the right pair.

are they on your big toes!?!?!?! I have Nike Shox II and they suck. I have bad shin splints and after every run I have crazy deep blisters on my big toe. I am going to a diff running store when I buy new shoes which will be in the next month or so. Take your shoes back if you still can.

Question is they on your big toe? I do not run but I had problems with a shoe that was to large the foot would move so much inside the shoe that it would rub on the side of the shoe and give me blisters. Size does matter, Go to more than one shoe store and have yourself measured without buying anything see what answers you get.

Ouch, I DO recommend you read this recent post here on the CC forums about barefoot running - I'm mentioning it only because I messed my feet up in the most crazy expensive ("expert" measured, etc) RBK shoes, and so far my experiemnts in barefoot walking have been a revelation - not least about how hard I was pounding my heel down.

just return them! they sized you wrong and told you a bunch of crap. if you still have the receipt they'll take them back, and if not make a big scene, they'll do anything to shut you up probably.
