Nike Shox Running shoes!!!
Ok I dont know what I'm doing wrong here, but can some please please help me. So I bought a pair of these nike shox that were crazy over priced. The Sales lady measures my foot and started to explain (blah blah blah) about "oh you will do wonderful because your a new runner".
I fall for it and purchase a size 8 (i'm a size 7.5 reg shoes). I start working out with the new amazing shoes (sales pitch) and i have the worse blisters!!! I dont know what is going on! I cant return them because they are worn.
Could it be the way I run? Is it my socks?
Please advise!!!!!
I would try to return them! Try to blame the sales lady for not measuring the shoe / your foot correctly. Sometimes being a pest moves mountains!
Thanks Mermaid! I might try that.. lol i have my receipt.. but not the box.. do you think it will still work?
Hey, I just replied to your weightloss post...
I know I realized i was in the wrong area so i repost the same thing. sorry for the confusion.
BTW - I'm def going to try the insole or return them if that doesnt work.
thanks for the helpful advise ![]()
Return them, any good running shoe store will allow you to return running shoes that do not work.
What are you using for socks?
My local running equipment place does have double layer socks that are supposed to help with blisters. They're still fairly thin, but I imagine they work by letting the two layers of the sock slide against each other, rather than your skin against the sock or something. You should be able to find something similar, if you can't return the shoes.

Oh, and the local store allows returns on shoes, but they ask that you try them out indoors, rather than outdoors.

Blisters can be pretty common if you are just starting to run. It can take a while to toughen the toes a little. Also running shoes normally will be sized 1/2 size larger than your normal shoes since your feet can swell during runs.
I average around 10 miles a day and still on occasion get a toe blister. With me it's my toe next to the big toe. It's crooked I think and I have some socks with toes that really helped me when I first started to run. They are Injinji brand socks and can be found online or at better running shoe stores.
Good luck
Hey Guys!
So i went to foot locker and the lady said they are will to exchange the shoes for a different size or pair.I think i'm going to try the toe socks as well.
heres my concern.. my blisters arent on my toes.. they are on the bottom inner foot part..near my arch. Will these socks prevent blisters from there as well??
Keep me posted
thanks!!!

Here's what you do. The store will return them if there is a defect of some kind, because they can send it back to Nike and get their money back. They will exchange the shoe or maybe give you a gift card..possibly a refund, but I doubt it. The exchange could be a different more comfortable shoe and you could get the difference back. I am wary to trust people who work in the shoe department at sports stores, specifically because they work off commission and they are under educated about the product (unless you are talking to a manager). Anyway, back to the shoe, if you find a thread somewhere on the lining of the shoe and pull it out a little bit so it looks like its unwinding, you can bring it back angry that you spent so much on a shoe that is "obviously falling apart." It will work. Trust me, I worked at a sports store for 3 years (GI Joes. I don't know if you have/had any of those where you live.)
If you have any more questions about it you're welcome to message me!
Also, I'm not sure if this has already been said, but there is two layer runner specific socks you can buy that are great for preventing blisters. But most likely, the shoes you bought just don't fit you right and the salesperson was just eager to make 19% off your very expensive purchase.
I posted in your other thread but again, return them. I never knew about those double layer socks. I think I will look into those since I have the shox II and they give me blisters on my big toes all the time. Ive had the blister right by my arch too and I was wearing socks.
I always seem to get blisters on my inside arches from Nike running shoes. BUT not when I got Nike Triax. Best line of shoes ever. Lots of runners in my area like the Nike Structure Triax.
ya know i have a pair of nike walking shoes and I think they are so much better to run in than my nike shox running shoes. im serious about going back to wearing them.
Nike Shox are great but they don't work with all sorts of feet. No shoes do.
