Anyone have this?? My wife just bought it today. The sports package rocks!!! You can get a nice little workout from the tennis and boxing. Glad nintenendo is addressing the obese problem with kids issue. At least they have to move around with this game. I am 34 and my wife is 35. LOL it is soooo fun!! Cant say you sweat like crazy but you have to do the motions like you are actualy playing the game!!

LOVE nintendo wii... the boxing is a great work-out. one of my roommates was staying in on a saturday night to do a paper that she was never going to be able to finish on time if she didn't sacrifice a weekend... and when i got in at 3 am i asked her how her paper was going and she said "didn't start...but i got to pro status in nintendo wii bowling..."

hahaha... i was also extremely sore the day after i tried boxing for the first time... apparently running doesn't ANYTHING for upper body muscles...
My wife is running out to get another controler so I can play her in tennis and boxing!!
The boxing is a really good workout if you go all out with it... like your actually boxing (I jump from side to side too... but thats just cause I'm crazy =P Finally a nintendo that when I start jerking the remotes around, they actually do something!

memories of my childhood playing racing games on NES being told by my brother repeatedly "Sarah, you have to use the arrows, just turning the controller doesn't steer."
I sooo want to get one of these for me and my family! Since you are doing physical activity, it sounds like it's really worth it. About the boxing, this would be great for my husband - he wants a punching bag, but this would be so much better because you can play other games on there too.
I love the boxing, and do the same thing! At the very least, it helps me with sparring. Just be careful not to hyperextend your elbows during the punches- from personal experience, it hurts. XD
Lol. My boyfriend and I played this together for the first time yesterday and I loved it!!! We only did bowling and tennis but it was such a blast! Sadly, I think I have tennis elbow today.... must have gotten into it more than I had thought.
Wii  Sports is awesome awesome game!  My husband (34) and I (33) love playing Tennis together (two of us against computer).  It's a great FUN and great work out.  I can keep playing for hours!

Boxing is a little bit too hard for me (Great cardio!).  I can only box for about 15 minutes (back to back)

There's a link showing how much calories you burn during each Wii Sports activity (http://www.wiihealthy.com/?p=15) but I don't know how accurate it is.  (It also depends on how much your weight is)

Mayoclinic also did a research and concluded that playing videogame that require movement like Wii or DDR help kids burn 3x more! (http://www.mayoclinic.org/news2007-rst/3857.h tml)

My favorite is Tennis and Bowling :)
The Wii is awesome!

Incidentally, I saw an article the other day that made me laugh.  Doctors are now describing a phenomenon that they've dubbed "Wiiitis."  It's the soreness (and sometimes repetitive motion injury) that people experience after extended Wii play!

There's something to it, though.  My friends and I were all complaining of "Wii arm" (sore shoulder) the day after playing tennis and bowling for hours on end.
Haha sara my mom did that stuff with donkey kong and so does my sister its hilarious.
I love Wii boxing! I agree, it's quite a workout.

I'm off to check if it's available for my "activity log". :P

I too am now addicted to the Wii...after just 3 days I'm sore too, so it must be hitting some good muscles.  Definitely check out the "Training" mode for Boxing and Tennis, which gets your heart pumping.  I love the bowling game too, which explains my sore arm.

I've had a Wii since last November (early Christmas present from my wife) and I love it! The boxing kicks my butt, but it's fun, and the tennis is great too, especially when I can't get out and play for real.

DDR is good too! I wonder how many calories you can burn on that one. Although I can't graduate above Light mode! I usually work up a sweat and my legs are killing me after about 20 minutes.

Also, Wii is going to release a fitness 'game' sometime soon. Wii Fit. It comes with a balance board and keeps track of your BMI over time.
