Nipple rings
I've checked the boards to see if this has been asked before, but I didn't find anything.
Anyone out there willing to admit to having their nipples pierced?
Does it hurt when they get pierced? Let me rephrase that. Do they hurt A LOT when you get them done?
I want to get mine done, but I'm scared.
Advice?
I've always wanted this done and now I'm seriously considering it.
I'm a little worried though, because uhm.. mine are a little small.
Anyone have them done that has smaller nipples?
I've thought about it too, but I've heard it can affect sensitivity... Like in a negative way. Is that true?
I have fairly small nipples too, but I got mine done about three weeks ago or so and they're doing just fine. They really increase the sensitivity. The only thing I've noticed, is I got them done with rings, which I liked, but they moved to much for the healing process, so I switched to barbells. But, now with the barbells in, they are constantly hard. I think I'll switch back to rings when they heal. But deff don't worry about being small. I am too and I love mine!!!
I'm currently 19 and when I was 16 I went on this rampage to pierce as much of my body as I could.
From my experience, all piercings are a commitment, even if they aren't permanent. A lot of care goes into maintaining their cleanliness and keeping them infection-free.
I don't know what you've gotten done, but I'll gage my piercing pains, from "barely felt it" to "kill me now" pain-
LEAST
1. Tragus- it's the little flap that covers your ear. It hurt the least in the process but was definitely sore in the days after. I also specified for the piercer to NOT use a clamp.
2. Septum- the flap that separates your nostrils. I think my piercer & I just lucked out, 'cause this one is supposed to burn like no tomorrow.
3. 2nd, 3rd, 4th ear lobe peircings- these were done in bathrooms (my best friend's, mine) and hurt more the closer you get to cartilage.
4. Tongue- It's awkward, and gross, I really wouldn't recommend it. I've taken it out and re-pierced the scar tissue, and now it willl never close, but I never wear it.
5. Industrial - a bar that goes through your cartilage twice. This was the hardest to take care of.
6. NIPPLE - This burns SO much, and it's a pain even if a friend accidentally brushes against it within the first 2 weeks.
7. Microdermal - PROBABLY the most painful of piercings... A small, but deep incision is made, and a bar with a perpendicular plate is inserted into some-odd dermal layer. A very painful layer.
MOST
The only piercing I have left in is the tragus, and everything else (save the tongue) has grown in seamlessly.
If you do opt to get your nipple done, ask your piercer for "Satin Antimicrobial Therapeutic Skin Cleanser-" it's a very light, lathering soap and it healed my piercings (external ones) in a flash. Spectro Jel is also good!
That was quite a rant, but I hope this gage helps you, 44oz (and any
other posters.) Of course this was all just personal experience... ![]()
