yes it is very normal. congrats! you have been losing about 2 pounds per week, which is healthy, and you have actually beeen tking things slow! great job!!!
how many cals are you guys eating? how long are you working out?
2+ lbs per week is fine. Check and see what weight you want to get to and whether it will put you underweight.
I lost 2+ lbs per week while I was in the obese category. Now that I'm in the overweight category, I'm down to 1+ lb per week and once I get into the correct weight category I expect it will slow down to about .5 lbs per week until I hit my desired weight (not underweight, I like having curves).

I lost 15 lbs in 5 weeks at the beginning of my diet. I dropped from 186 to 171. In case you're wondering, I ate about 1000 calories a day, biked, did pilates and weight training. But now I've hit a plateau for the past couple weeks, and I'm trying everything to get past it. I personally think it's easy to lose weight rapidly when you start, but once your body adjusts to your lifestyle change, it gets increasingly more difficult. I'm just doing all I can to stay motivated and have faith that I'll start losing weight again. Hopefully you'll keep losing at the same rate though!
i eat 1300 calories and try to get an hour of exercise. i hear what you people are doing and it sounds insane! i dont do half the exercise you do. is that bad? yesterday i walked three miles and went on a leisurely bike ride to my friend's house, and that was it. the other day all i did was weight train for an hour. i never feel pooped afterword, but i'm losing weight, so i guess it's working.
I was told by my nutritionist that as a young woman, it is safe to lose 2 pounds a week, every week.
I only wish that would happen, I've lost maybe 1 lb a week after the initial drop in weight the first week, but she also told me to eat 1500-2000 calories when I was eating 1200-1500....maybe it will help.

I have lost 14 lbs in 6 weeks. I eat on average 1750 calories a day and exercise for 30-60 minutes 6 days a week. My average deficit is 918 calories a day. I could probably eat a little more, but I feel fine and according to scale, it is mostly body fat I am losing, not muscle.
