Normal Walking as Exercise

Quote  |  Reply

Hey guys!  I have a question about my normal exercise.  I live in NYC and walk everywhere.  My phone has a pedometer, and according to it, I walk an average of 3.5 miles or so a day, give or take.  Does this count towards exercising, even though it's not all consecutive?  I'm so busy all the time, I wish I could do more, but that's all I've got now.  Thanks for any opinions!

Yes, it definitely counts!!  If you go to your activity log on cc and do a search on walking, you will find many different areas of walking and accordingly, how many calories you burn for what type of walking you do!  Remember that any kind of activity is better than none, and 3.5 miles is great!  Search for the activities that keep you so busy and you'll be surprised at what even that activity does for you!!!  Good Luck!
