November calorie deficit challenge (posting now open!)
Hello! If you are looking at this, then you probably know what a calorie deficit is. Basically, this is a remake of an old challenge I used to love (even though it is QUITE challenging for me). The challenge is to set a goal total deficit for the month, and then every day track yourself in the thread and try to reach that goal.
Going off of the old 3500calories=1lb:
2lb Challenge- total deficit of 7000 during the month
4lb Challenge- total deficit of 14000 during the month
6lb Challenge- total deficit of 21000 during the month
8lb Challenge- total deficit of 28000 during the month
Now, the reason that this challenge has fizzled out before is that the person who starts it does not continue to post edit everyone's stats in the first post. I'm going to get around that by proposing a new system to this challenge.

Now, the xxxx/xxxxx is the important part. This way, the thread is condensed and it's easier to remember who everyone is and see how they are doing. Also- if I go AWOL, other people can still continue the thread regardless.

BIO: I managed to get pretty lazy (exercise and eating wise) a few weeks back and started seeing the numbers on the scale start creeping back up (ack!). I kicked it back into gear just about a week or two ago and have started seeing those numbers come back down (yes!). So now I'm motivated to continue because (once again) I know I can do this. That, and because my fiance and I are planning on taking our engagement pictures around the Christmas holiday, and I'd like to not look like a blob in them, lol. :)

Nov 10th - Hello guys, I just wanted to let you know I've been down with a a fever for the last two days..... I haven't counted my food, but I think there was a deficite, especialy considering that my fever has probably boost my metabolism, I actually weight a pound less this morning that I had on Sunday 8th....I'm going to count today, but I'm not going to go for more than 200-300kCal deficit, i need to recover as fast as I can
11/23 That's it? Just 249kCal..... I don't know, I just have been hungry today-not the urge to binge,I have just been hungry for every two or three hours, and also I'm sore from the workout yesterday so I didn't do any today. By the way, I ate very healthy, and I have all vitamins and minerals requirements reached(and exceeded!) very low sodium,cholesterol and saturated fat, just some 230%sugar (which,btw is never under 160-170,I don't know how people manage to keep it under control....)....and I have 57%carbs (I aime to keep it 50-55%), but I also have big amount of protein...I guess that's very good for my sored muscles :)
All in all, I think that I had a very healthy day today...even though I wasn't very deficit-ary

Update (25rd): Today's weigh in was a little disappointing, I didnt lose any weight since last tuesday. And still time to spare.

I'm doing the 7,000 deficit challenge.
BIO: Well I'm really short (4'11") and my ultimate goal is 97 (where I was in May without restricting or overexercising or any of that crap). I started at 112 in August (darn those summer vacations... ;p ) and was down to 102 until about two weeks ago when my stress levels hit the roof and what do you know, I (very) quickly gained back to 112 again. I know some of it was water weight though because I am 109 pounds again as of today and I know I couldn't really have lost three pounds in two days eating as much crap as I have in these last few weeks... I know my deficit goal doesn't exactly match up with my weight loss goal for the month, but I think I have about another pound or two of water weight in me so I'm compensating, plus I'd have to undereat in order to have a higher deficit, although I do admit that I could exercise more (like, a lot more). My "official" goal for November is to lose what I gained in the last half of October, but I'll probably only end up at around 105-106 pounds and then I'll go from there.

so, super interesting (or maybe not, lol): my deficit for last week was ~1585 (maybe a little more, maybe a little less - i don't know for sure since i didn't really keep track of cals for two days last week). according to the 3500 cals = 1 pound rule, with a 1585 deficit i should have lost about 0.4 pounds. last week i weighed in at 154.6 and this week i weighed in at 154.2 - that's a loss of exactly 0.4 pounds! crazy!! or is it? maybe i'm crazy, who knows, lol. anywayy, just thought i'd share that with ya'll. :)

That's awesome lol! My weigh-ins never work with my deficits, but it all evens out in the long run, so it's okay.
Owww. I think my deficit for today might be effed. I just had lunch and it was mushroom ravioli with a cream sauce. Usually the place I got it from has nice light things / a little bit of sauce, but today it was SMOTHERED in something that tasted like pure cream. It was so nasty that I only ate half (and it was small) but I still think it killed me. 200 for the sauce, 300 for the ravioli.

Hey there. Im still here every day - or trying at least. It seems like some people are missing in action though :S Maybe they lost the link or something. Anyway, we are halfway there, so only 15 days to go!
i've been out of town, and thus calorie/deficit counting = pretty much non existent. "/
i'm back though - so hopefully it'll be better! :)
edited to add: i just updated my totals and suffice it to say that this weekend was not good, lol. :(
