Feb 3rd Weigh In POST will close Feb 5th @ 11:59pm!

All member's who have joined and haven't posted at least two one weigh in will be removed from an active team and place on an inactive team. We have about 2-3 members on each team that haven't posted their weigh in's since we have started. Once those team members who are non participants are place in inactive status we will continue as usually with the challenge but there will be less memebers on each team and I will try to make sure each team has the same amount of members!

I still haven't received EVERYONE'S before photo! PLEASE SEND ASAP! NO OFFSENSIVE PHOTO'S PLEASE!

My 8lbs lost was probably water weight as well as real weight. I know it seems a like a lot but I am eating enough (1300-1500cal a day) and eating healthily. I don't expect the big numbers in the coming weeks.

Gosh I can't even lose half a pound, I remember a time I could lose up to 2-3lbs in one week, gone are those days. I've been stuck at 122lbs for awhile now.
ugh i really messed up this past two days, binged badly so i guess i can't be expecting any loss this week *weeps*
melt_the_fat ... aww don't get discouraged! Two days of binging are not that bad. Just try to fit in a bit more exercise for this week, and you will be fine :)

Just wondering, even though the "first weigh in" is past, can I still join?  :<  This might help me stay with it and focus on my goals.  =)

cherry thanks for the encouragement :) yeah i know it's not that bad, it's just that, well, you know, i'm working on my attitude towards food, not just the weight and binging due to emotional reasons is a sign of unhealthy attitude towards food, booo BUT i do feel i can get it under control. thanks again *gives flowers*

and yellow i'd say WELCOME. but since it's not me who started the challenge probably the last word doesn't belong to me...

i hope we will soon creat a network of support, casue so far not so many discussion going on here, only ppl posting their stats, which i know is the point, i'm ust sort of talkative. sometimes, lol

I didnt have too good of a start for the week, either. Only difference is I am way down on calories. I had surgery on my left hand on monday then they gave me saltine crackers (I am gluten intolerant) with the vicodin they gave me after IV anesthesia and pain meds before they sent me home so then I was pretty nauseous afterwards so I only managed to get around 400 cals that day, and yesterday I only got in a little over 500, not for lack of trying, but not realizing how difficult it was going to be to prepare foods with only 1 hand, not to mention, I havent been to the gym since friday....was going to go sunday and monday before surgery but the doc told me no on saturday because of the increased blood flow and then i was going to go back yesterday but the discharging nurse said i have to wait til my follow up....thank God, thats today.....I feel out of sorts from not going to the gym.....cant wait to get at least back to the gym, i can handle nonuse of left arm but i can still do my cardio, legs and right arm.....5 days out of the gym....im afraid if i dont get back to it soon, i am going to fall too far back and get discouraged.

PS...do i get to take into account the weight of the cast they put on my arm for weigh ins?

=)  Awesome.  Well then, here're my stats. 

Starting weight: 162lbs on Nov. 5th, 2007

Mini goal for Dec. 30th, 2007: 150lbs

Mini goal for Feb 17th, 2008: 140lbs

ULTIMATE weight goal: 125lbs

Weight loss plan: Cutting out all sorts of sweets, including the "sugar-free" candies.  Basically last January I started to diet by cutting out chocolate and exercising 3-4 times per week, and I lost something like 15-20 lbs in 3 months.  I've kept most of it off, but I want to lose more, so I'm trying this technique again.  Eating healthier; when I want sweets, go for Crystal Light or fruits.  Also, I'm starting to exercise 6 times per week.  Cardio (in the form of step aerobics), Strength (weight room), and wall climbing.  My boyfriend is also very into losing some weight and getting healthier, so he helps me stay motivated.  =)

Food Weakness: Chocolate.  Hot chocolate, especially, since the colder months are ahead...  Also, around the holidays, pumpkin pie.  And sour patch kids.  I swear those candies are addictive.  :(

 

eanoe, wow that really, really sucks. When are you going to get your cast off? I totally know what you mean...If I don't go to the gym every day, I end up not going for a week or even two! And then I feel bad, and really don't want to do anything, except lay in bed and watch movies while eating chocolate ... and no that does not make me feel better (well maybe just for a second), and so I start to slump again... grr. I cant tell that You are very motivated, if I had a cast on I would not step near a gym... he he 

 melt_the_fat I'm an emotional eater too. That's the reason I joined. I want to track my eating behavior and also change this "unhealthy attitude" towards food.

First of all, I`m from Mexico, so my english is not very good, but i`l try to write well.

 

Today I had lunch in my mother in law house and she cook "Quesadillas". That's a meal with too many  calories Cry  so i hope that doen't ruin my day. This is my 3th day on diet.

eanoe, i really feel for you, but i know you'll get right through it. in my opinion you should not force your body to eat, casue surgeries are a great shock for the body so i would just let it be.

and cherry, i'm proud to announce that on Wed 11/7 i had 1200 cals and no binging temptations :) i still weigh the same as on our last weigh in though...

melt_the_ fat that's really good to hear :) how did you do it? Do you keep yourself busy, because I very frequently have these urges to eat sweets... like today.... mmm I had a VERY bad day. Let's just say I ate my whole chocolate stash that I had in my drawer... perhaps it shouldn't have even been there... but yeahh. Its ALL gone now :(

oh and about still staying the same weight... that's totally fine. At least you didn't gain any! And it's still early too tell... when you weigh yourself on Monday I bet you will see a difference :) I'm eating more than 1500 Kcal a day, usually around 1700 + (after all my sweets), and am still noticing a difference. Let's just say Pilates kicks some serious Bu** he he.

What kind of workout's do you guys prefer, or what do you guys do to "stay in shape/get in shape"

Does anyone have something they do or any tips to resist temptation... I go to lunch in our building's cafe everyday and they always have hot warm sugar cookies and huge right out of the oven chocolate chip cookies (I sound like a dogon hungry cookie monster!) What do I do??? I can't keep this up any longer guys! HELP!!!!!! Any yummier alternatives to cookies?

 

 

I hope everyone is doing great though! I fought the temptation of sugar cookies at lunch yesterday *YAY*. I have to wait till celebration day.

Dang! I missed the first weigh in!

 

When I get cravings I sometimes chew gum or eat some fruit but that doesn't always work for me. Most of the time I just give in to the temptation and do more exercise (should say NO!!!).

I have eaten alot of chocolate this week, hard to get away from it at work....need to exercise more control but luckily I go to the gym daily so usually burn off most of those naughty treats I have been eating. Still I need to learn not to always give in to my cravings

Next week I'm going to try a 7 day challenge of not eating any chocolate, crisp, cakes or bread, these are my weaknesses.
