November Resolutions

Quote  |  Reply
I'm a firm believer that resolutions should be made every month, not yearly. October hasn't been the best month for me - I've been stuck on a plateau for the past while and need to start pushing myself harder. I've got those last 15 lbs to lose (wow..never thought i'd say that!) and it's coming off v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y....

Stats:

f, 20, 5'4

hw: 245

cw: 140

gw: 125 (pushing for new years, but i don't know if i'll be able to)

Anways, November resolution for me:

a) No lactose!! I was recently diagnosed lactose intolerant and i keep 'testing' myself to see if my body has miraculously cured itself and keep making myself sick. so NO LACTOSE! (no chocolate!!)

b) Keeping within my caloric goals each day (1200-1400)

c) GYM (this is a big one i've been slacking off on) 4 times a week for 1 hour.

d) YOGA!! 2 hours of yoga per week, minimum!

Weigh-ins are on Tuesdays (12-weeks to xmas challenge)

WHAT ARE YOUR NOVEMBER RESOLUTIONS???

My November resolutions are to keep up with my steady healthy lifestyle  & not go NUTS over school work!! I need to:
1. Focus on the present
2. Continue going to the gym every morning for 100 minutes
3. Work out with weights 1x per week!
4. Complete all homework/school work on time

Original Post by giasbash6260:
3. Work out with weights 1x per week!

From my reading you should do it 3x a week, just thought I'd mention that...anyway I've just started about 1.5 weeks ago so I guess my resolution would be to continue making use of my gym membership.

This is a great idea, I think I will start doing monthly resolutions - lol.

1) Allow myself a treat every now and then. I would love to be able to have a jumbo cookie this month and enjoy it without feeling guilty.

2) Start studying, seriously. Exams are fast approaching and I can't sit back any longer.

3) Resolve my relationship, whatever that may entail.

4) Make sure I am at the gym AT LEAST twice a week, preferably 4 - 5 times per week considering my work outs are not strenuous.

5) Continue aiming to keep my protein high.

There we go. :)

im adding a d) to my list...

d) Studying!! Finals are coming up quick and before I know it this semester will be over. Gotta start studying!

edit: and by d) i totally meant e) lol
My goals are:
a) to avoid gluten
b) maintain my weight
c) to continue eating healthily

bump!
My November Resolutions

1.  Weights 3x a week every week

2.  Stick to calorie deficit of 900-1000 every day (except Thanksgiving)

3.  Go no higher than maintenance calories on Thanksgiving Day.

This is a great idea!  Thanks for making me reflect for a moment on how I want my November to go.

My November Resolutions ....

1. Keep eating 9+ servings of veggies a day

2. Eat more ostrich

3.  Learn 2 new recipes using shirataki noodles

4.  Make spicy pumpkin soup again

5. Continue my no-more-diet-sodas success

6. Exercise 3-4 times per week

7. Stay AWAY FROM THE SCALE until December 25.

8.  Learn to make low-calorie eggnog

9.  Try cheesy pureed cauliflower

10. Enjoy the sunshine!

=^..^= MOLLY

I'm going to go ahead and make November/December Resolutions to finish out the year!

MY RESOLUTIONS:

1) Love my body. Every single day, no matter what I did or how I am feeling. 2) Eat more fruits and vegetables. 3) Cut down on the junk. My body doesn't like it or need it! 4) Continue to dance and try to increase my other exercise. 5) DRINK WATER! I've been lagging on this lately... Time to drink up! 6) Not step on a scale until December 1 and then again until January 1. It's just a number anyways! 7) Keep up with my work at school. No time for lagging now!

WOW! I am loving this! I'll check back with you all soon! =D

My resolution is to finally break this PLATEAU. I have been stuck at the same weight since the end of May. Actually the weight is creeping upward somehow, even though I have changed nothing.

1) Love my body and soul.

2)Break this plateau!

3) Follow my plan as written...exactly.

4) Break this plateau!!!!!

5) Drink enough water and avoid sodium.

6) Break this plateau!!!!!!

LOL. I am going crazy now, I really need this plateau to end.

I want to..

Continue practicing yoga at least 1 hour everyday- I become so off center without a daily practice.
Break my love of blue corn tortilla chips! (they hurt my tum! but are so yummy)
Continue riding my bike to school (4 miles/day, 4 days/week) and to work (2.6 miles/day, 2 days/week)

Overall, I just want to eat crazy healthy and build muscles. *flexx

November Resolutions:

1) Break this plateau

2) Eat Smarter

3) Drink more water

4) Keep up on my daily food log - I think this is my problem lately and reason I am on plateau.

5) Keep up with exercise - Not a problem, I have Aerobics twice a week, personal trainer once a week, golf class once a week, hiking once a week and cardio 2-3 times a week. My cardio is generally Monday, Wed and Golf Class day since golf is not really that strenuous. I take Fridays off. On hiking day, I sometimes go into gym and do a weight work out also.

6) No Drinking for a 2 week consecutive period. This has always helped me break a plateau.

7) Make my daily meal plans so I do not go off schedule.

November will be good to me and I will beat this plateau and not be overcome by it's power over me and go back to my old habits.

Wow that felt good!

I love this idea.  It makes more sense than a weight goal challenge!

I resolve to.....

1. Work off at least 2000 calories per week on my new eliptical - starting this weekend when I drive into the city to buy it.

2. Do my level best to eat my 5 servings of veggies and fruit.

3. Add a little yoga at the end of my workout - why o why did I ever stop?

I like this idea too!

1. Keep drinking enough water

2. Maintain my daily exercise

3. Lower my fat intake, increase my fiber/veggie/fruit intake maintain this even through the holidays

4. Organize my paperwork at home (files are a mess papers all unorganized Frown

5. Become employed without sacrificing the pay scale I want Money mouth

Hello everyone!

My first day here and I'm ready to really get serious about this.  My daughter is getting married in May and I need to loose 20 lbs.  My November goal is:

Eat more vegetables and fruits

Stay at about 1200 calories

and exercise 4 to 5 times a week.

Hope to get lots of encouragement here.  Good luck to everyone.

My November goal:

Not exceed my daily calorie allowance and to get Mollymouser's recipe for spicy pumpkin soup! Come on Molly, give it up! LOL

Oh November...this is always the time of the year when my self control goes out the window. I only went a little overboard on Halloween, hopefully I'll be able to maintain a better attitude for Thanksgiving.

Goals:

1.Maintain my calorie intake to 1700-1900 a day

2. To not beat myself up when I indulge every so often

3. Keep working out 6 days a week

4. Become a Better Runner (I just started upping my cardio this week! yay!)

5. For Everyone: Realize that no number on a scale should measure your happiness! Don't Give Up!
