todays a new week though so wish me luck

Yes, it is a new week for all of us!  Remember to take one meal at a time and never give up!  You just pick up the pieces and dust yourself off.

Congratulations to those who have met their "mini" goals.

Currently at my lifetime (nonpregnant) highest weight. :(   Looking for (and finding!)  encouragement here.

Connie (conniechausse) and all the new members  - glad you found us!

471.2 today

Well, considering November 1st was the first day of my diet... I can really only offer one number:

Starting Weight: 225

I peeked at the scale this morning out of sheer curiosity, and to my surprise it read 224.5. Granted, it was only day 2 and could have easily been water weight, but a loss is a loss! I promised myself I wouldn't hop on again until next Tuesday, when I'll be doing my weekly weigh-ins. Hopefully the number will be even lower by then! :)

183 as of last night. I'm finally down to (doctor's) preprepregnancy weight. Yay!

297.8 this morning

Still trying to find the brake on this Run-Away Gain Train.  I have been having sinus trouble again.  And to make things more enjoyable, TOM decided to show up to add his pleasantries to the misery that I was in with sinus infection.

Let's fill in the blanks from the first of month.....

11/01 = 301.2
11/02 = 298.8
11/03 = 300.0
11/04 = 300.2
11/05 = 297.8

I started at 261 in januarary and have ever-so-slowly gotten down to 246 as of right now.  But that's with me weighing after dinner and right before bed.  I'll weigh again first thing in the morning, before breakfast.

That's great Christina!!

299.8 = UP this morning

Thanks Lorraine! :)  I weighed this morning before eating and am at 244 even. =D

I couldn't help myself, I peeked at the scale this morning.  I'm down to 242!  I love how easy it is to lose weight when you first start out. =D   Before I know it it'll be slowing down again though. =P

im 145.4 today which means this week i lost 3.2 pounds!  yahoo.  last week i gained like 6 pounds.

congrats sereneinsanity on losing weight. :D

304.8 = UP this morning

Denna I am sorry to read you are UP but as your friend I stand by you - literally I too am UP - 485 this morning.  I want to cry.  I am so frustrated.

if you weigh in every day our weight fluctuates.

how much sodium are you guys getting?  could be water weight?

if i consume over 2400mg of sodium per day but stay within my recommended calories then i gain a bit the next day.  which is mostly water weight.

don't get discouraged.

 I appreciate your kind words.  My circumstances are that I am "disabled" and have limited ambulatory.  I am dependent on my husband preparing my meals and taking care of most of my needs.  The doctor tells him, the PT tells him and I have tried to "train" him in steaming vegetables, etc.  Sometimes I feel I cannot teach an "old" dog new tricks - it is frustrating and discouraging.  Sometimes I feel he wants me to stay heavy even though he knows it is not good for my health.

Besides my doctor is all for the Lapband because of my weight - diuretics have not helped, low sodium diets, etc.
