Welcome to the **November** Challenge!
If you’ve participated before, welcome back for another month! To all those who have not done this challenge (or any other) welcome aboard newcomers!
If you are new, please tag this thread so that you can find your way back in the future.
The challenge is pretty easy & does NOT require a long-term commitment. You pick a goal weight, and post your progress each week. You are NOT in competition with the other challengers—in fact, you are encouraged to cheer each other on. This is about having a reason to stay motivated throughout the month’s weight loss journey and having a place to post your progress to help you stay on track--some "extra" accountability for your actions because you know you aren't the only one who will "see" the results.
We'll have 4 weekly weigh-ins in November plus the start. Our weekly weigh-in dates are November 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2009 for final weigh in.
Weigh-in days are changed to Sunday coinciding with the first of the month. If you want to change the day, please let me know. If you weigh a different day for some specific reason, do so, but please report it on Sunday for statistical purposes of this thread. Thanks.
Normally, spreadsheet results will be posted by within 24 hours after weigh in date but for this month it will be 2-3 days and will appear as a link at the bottom of this page.

This is my life and, one year ago today, I pledged to make it better. I did so for a while, then sabotaged myself, so today, I am retaking that pledge to myself. Hopefully, one year from now, I will be able to look back on the year with pride.
You can do it! Next year, you will be able to look back and think, "I did it! I reached my goals!"

*sigh* I love Halloween, but I'm a little angry with myself. I worked extra hard last week trying to get down to 241.2 (which would be a loss of exactly 20 lbs). On Friday morning, I saw 241.4, which was awesome. I knew I would maintain on Saturday and planned to go back to a deficit on Sunday. Instead, I had a only a small deficit on Friday, went on a near-binge on Saturday, and maintained on Sunday. I waited until Monday to weigh myself, but I'm still back up to 243.6. I know most of it's water, but I'm betting there's some real gain in there, too. I'm guessing, based on the amount of junk food I ate, a little less than half a pound is real. Grr!

I enjoyed last month's challenge....I'm so afraid of this week's weigh in because I had four big days of celebrating my 30th bday! Back on the wagon as of tomorrow, though! Hopefully I didn't gain it all back!
