Welcome to the **November** Challenge!
If you’ve participated before, welcome back for another month! To all those who have not done this challenge (or any other) welcome aboard newcomers!
If you are new, please tag this thread so that you can find your way back in the future.
The challenge is pretty easy & does NOT require a long-term commitment. You pick a goal weight, and post your progress each week. You are NOT in competition with the other challengers—in fact, you are encouraged to cheer each other on. This is about having a reason to stay motivated throughout the month’s weight loss journey and having a place to post your progress to help you stay on track--some "extra" accountability for your actions because you know you aren't the only one who will "see" the results.
We'll have 4 weekly weigh-ins in November plus the start. Our weekly weigh-in dates are November 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2009 for final weigh in.
Weigh-in days are changed to Sunday coinciding with the first of the month. If you want to change the day, please let me know. If you weigh a different day for some specific reason, do so, but please report it on Sunday for statistical purposes of this thread. Thanks.
Normally, spreadsheet results will be posted by within 24 hours after weigh in date but for this month it will be 2-3 days and will appear as a link at the bottom of this page.

I had a bad week before this one, so I know I lost some water weight, but the measurement around my bellybutton is 4/5 inch down, so its awesome![]()

Ive readjusted my calories to 100 lower and the adjustment is not easy. ANd Ive not gotten as much workout as usual. Also started swimming again. Funny thing is, clothes continue to fit and feel better so a week at the same number on the scale is ok. I'll do better this week!

Way better eating habits, no huge binges like I had before, and I don't think about food as much. I didn't lose any weight this week; but, all of the Halloween candy I've been eating probably didn't help at all.
On my first post, I said that I wanted to do a better job of planning meals and add two days of the gym back into my schedule. I did come through on #1 - I did a solid job of prepacking healthy lunches and snacks in a cooler/lunch bag I bought. So, I'm proud of myself about that. I'm currently defrosting some ground turkey and some salmon in preparation for this week's meals.
On the other hand, I did not yet add the gym back into my schedule. To be honest, I intentionally avoided working out last week as I was scheduled for a firefighter physical exam last week. What does a physical have to do with it? Well, they make firefighter applicants run on a treadmill, on an incline, at top speed while hooked up to heart monitors. I didn't want to risk injuring myself the day before or going into the physical sore from a previous workout. As luck would have it, the treadmill was broken the day I went in. I have to go back on Wednesday to do the treadmill portion! After that, I'll feel less nervous about going to the gym!
