NROLFW Calorie question
The book says to eat more cals on lift days.... Now does that depend on if you lift in the morning or in the evening? The reason I ask is if you lift in the morning, you would be eating more cals AFTER working out. If you lift in the evening, you would be eating more cals BEFORE..... I lift in the evening after work.
Protein and cabs after lifting so for dinner just be sure to eat some lean protein, complex carbs and good fat. Eat until you are content. Veggies and low fat dairy also. So a good example meal would be, grilled chicken breast, brown rice, low fat milk or cheese and a salad with olive oil.
Thank you littleshellys.... but that doesn't answer my question. Should I then eat more the day AFTER a workout instead of the day OF the workout?
i workout late, not finishing the gym till 10pm (sometimes only because they kick me out, ha ha). i usually make sure to have a nice pre-workout snack, post workout protein powder, a higher cal dinner. im not much of a breakfast person but if its the weekend i'll eat a higher cal breakfast the next day. i then (should) go light on the lunch & dinner the next day, etc. hope that made sense.
I eat more on lift days, and I lift in the evening.
I eat more protein on lift days.
Make sure you body is ready before you lift with the items it needs and then replensh any items it has used afterwards? Just a guess since I am not into weights enough at the moment. :)
