Amayou's
- Lunges- I've done them before but weights make a big difference and I can barely walk afterwards
- Squats- I'm hoping they will lift my deriere a little bit
- Stage 1 (Just started)
1. Hmmm, dread the stepups. And planks and prone cobras bore the pants off me.
2. Any variety of deadlift, anything squats, anything lunges. The deadlifts especially just make my legs feel good afterwards.
3. Stage 7, a new level of torture fun.
Fun survey idea, Yogagirl!
1. The body weight matrix totally has my number. I hate it even more than YWTL!
2. I love the deadlift - I think because I was most intimidated by it at first and now I motivate myself to the gym by thinking - "How much can I add to my deadlift today?" (100lbs! at last count. Next goal - body weight)
3. I just started stage 5 - my knees are so glad.
1. So far the lunges! I HATE THEM!!!
2. I love doing squats! They make me feel strong. ![]()
3. I'm on stage 2 so, still close to the beginning.
1. I HATE the prone jackknife. It was probably very good for me, but I kept falling off the stupid ball. (I also hated lunges at first, but I'm getting more used to them.)
2. Tough call. I'm leaning toward step-ups because they really get my heartrate up in a way that none of the other exercises can match. (Honestly, I enjoy most of the exercises though - except anything with "prone" in the name. :-))
3. I've just finished Stage 2. I'm scared of the body weight matrix but looking forward to it at the same time. Is that nuts?
I guess this survey goes to show how everyone is different! lol Susiecue - stepups? Yikes! They were in the running for my least fav. Megan - lunges? Really?
KMK - your answers are just like mine. Too funny. I had 100 pound deadlifts at last time too and my next goal is also body weight. I am also in stage 5.
Maybe we'll have someone choose the matrix as their fav!

1. Lunges - I don't know if I have the form wrong or what, but they just feel awkward to me.
2. Prone Jacknife - because crunches don't do anything for me. I have a relatively stong core from power yoga, and I'm glad I found something else that challenges my abs.
3. Stage 1
- What is your most hated exercise in the book? Why?

1. Front squat push press - I just can't get my hand positioning right on these. They feel very awkward.
2. I love deadlifts also! I like getting to increase weight just about every workout. I am up to 115lbs.
3. I am getting close to finishing up Stage 2.
most hated exercise - 120 second plank - feels like an hour.
favorites - close between squats, ytwl, body weight matrix. I guess I will go with squats - I can feel the cellulite melting off when I do them.
stage - one more workout in stage 4, then on to 5!! Looks like body weight matrix is back in 5 - yay.
I started doing this on Sept 15, so I just completed four months today. Dec was a bit weak, but I hung in there, now going strong again. This is a fantastic program.
Body weight matrix almost got a vote! The thing about that monster is that it's SO AWFUL when you're doing it and then when you're done, you walk on air. Honestly, I've thought that after I'm done with this program, I'll just throw it into the next thing that I do just because.
Megan - hahaha.... yeah - I knew someone would like those evil things! lol I just did the matrix last night. It IS getting easier, but I still hate it. I have one more left to do and then I am done! whoo hoo. Did 3rd workout 5a last night. 5b Sunday, then 5a again Tuesday and 5b Thursday then onto stage 6! How was that by the way??

1. Most hated is probably the lunges in stage 1. I lost my balance all the time and had to decrease the weights a couple of times too.
2. Favorite is deadlift, because it makes me feel strong and I can increase the weights steadily.
3. I'm starting Stage 4 tonight! I started NROL in October and I'm so proud that I've been sticking to the program ever since, 3 times a week. I've always had a hard time exercising for more than a month without giving up, and the different stages keep me motivated. Now I need my workouts or I get moody! :)
What is your most hated exercise in the book? Why?
Hmm...I dread the body weight matrix. And I hate the three ab exercises in stage 3, workout b. I get soooo bored. I used to hate the deadlift, but I'm OK with it now.
What is your favorite exercise in the book? Why?
I really like the shoulder presses. They make me feel strong, and even though I usually end up doing them to exhaustion, it doesn't feel HARD.
What stage are you on? (in case you haven't gotten to some of the dreaded ones)
Stage 3! Almost done though...
What is your most hated exercise in the book? Why?
Lunges. I find these very hard, and had to use a smaller weight to complete, but I did it!
What is your favorite exercise in the book? Why?
Step ups. I did these onto a really high chair and BOY did my heart rate go up!!!
What stage are you on?
Stage 1- just completed my first Workout A & B this week!
I hate lunges!! Always have always will!
I really like squats, easy to do and when I add weight I feel really strong.
I will start stage 2 on Monday

Ditto. I superset them just to get it over with.
1. What is your most hated exercise in the book? Why?
So far it is lunges - in all of their horrible variety, although the dumbbell one-point row is a real close second. I have absolutely no balance on one foot.
2. What is your favorite exercise in the book? Why?
The front squat push press! (sdmerrill, how can you hate this one. I love pushing that bar up from a squat!)
3. What stage are you on? (in case you haven't gotten to some of the dreaded ones)
Stage 2 - I'm nearly finished, just one more of each workout. I'm just starting to like stage 2. :)
- What is your most hated exercise in the book? Why?
&nb sp; Lunges. I hate them because they take forever and it's hard for me to hold a weight that makes them worthwhile for an extended period of time. I am doing them holding 20lb dumbbells and not feeling it the next day, but holding 25lb DBs is really rough on my hands...
- What is your favorite exercise in the book? Why?
I will always be a huge fan of squats, but I really like the front squat push press. I haven't even reached that stage yet but I saw them in there and tried it one time and loved it.. might not love it so much when I have to do it all the time though. - What stage are you on? I'm still on stage one, as I started the program on January 5th.
1. lunges. i hate having to pay close attention to counting altho i dont mind the step ups for some reason.
2. deadlift, i really want better hamstrings & glutes
3. starting stage 2 tues (or wed)

Yeah, I read that you were doing that somewhere else, so I tried that in my last workout. I actually felt like I was working my abs for once.
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
