Is Nutrisystem Food As Bad as It Looks?
Can anyone tell me that???
I got encouraged by how much weight Marie Osmond lost, so I went to the website to maybe order it and to be honest, it looks unappealing, and that it’s reconstituted is a big turn-off, and not exactly cheap even with a free week, so I read some consumer reviews and they did not make the food sound at all good, in fact people sounded real unhappy.
The other idea is to do a detox and not have to order prepackaged food, I read about a product called NuLean, you replace a few meals and it says you can drop weight fast, http://www.nulean-nutrisystem.com has anyone tried that program?
Please share.

Dear sharkcomet,
please, please, please don't do either! Nutrisystem might make you lose weight - but you will not learn how to eat properly! I tried a pasta dish once from a friend and it is disgusting! And those portions are really really small! I was hungry all afternoon!
And how long do you want to do Nutrisystem? Until you lost weight. O.k.
And what comes after Nutrisystem? How will you eat then? Just as before? I hope not! So keep away from all those Nutrisystem's, Jenny Craig's and Herbalife's. None of them are long term solutions!!!
Detox is also something you really don't need! Just start eating healthy and your body will detox itself! The human body has so many great mechanism that will clean your system - why spend money on something that your liver is already doing for you! you can only thank your liver by eating good stuff and not crappy processed food!
Sorry to be such a party pooper! :o))
All the best
B.
I lost 60 lbs and went from a size 16 to a size 2 on nutrisystem. It may not teach you what to eat but it teaches you portion control. If portions are your issue, GO FOR IT. and the food is not bad, I am very picky and found lots to love on nutrisystem...and if you are wondering why i am dieting again if i lost so much its because i just had a baby.
Any food that has a shelf life of over a year and doesn't need any refrigeration has to be loaded with preservatives. Your body would appreciate a nice clean diet instead of pickling your gizzards.
As far as losing weight on it? yeah, you probably can because like jmiles28 said, it will teach you portion control. But it won't teach you how to eat right.
I tried it and sent the stuff back!! It was that bad!
I also tried it and sent it back. And then I had to argue with them about giving me a refund!
The food is full of preservatives, some I had never even heard of before. They also add appetite suppressants to their food, which allows you to eat much less, but what happens when you go back to real food? And, while there were a couple dishes that were edible, overall, the food was disgusting. Worse than Jenny Craig, which I didn't think was possible!
Seriously you can lose weight for FREE by choosing low-fat dairy, lean meat, raw or steamed vegetables, raw whole fruit and whole grains, watch your portion sizes, cut out all junk food/processed foods/ added sugar -- leave treats or desserts for Sunday family dinner night, you'll appreciate them more. Pay attention to your suggested calorie amount to lose weight.
Be more active even if you don't have time to exercise, (keep off the sofa and off the bed, etc.)
I have lost 30 pounds so far -- took me 5 months but I have changed my life style to do it so I expect lose more over the next year. I am much healthier.
Those people who buy those 'systems' rebound with their weight, people who lose it slowly through a life style change don't rebound as much.

Well, yeah. It's only a sustainable business model if you get repeat customers. Any weightloss product or service will be carefully designed to help you lose weight but keep you totally dependent on it so that if you stop using it, you gain back all the weight and need to start buying the product again. (Well, except the ones that don't work in the first place.) That's how they stay in business.
I've never tried Nutri-System myself, but my former boss did, and she said the food was terrible.
