Hey everyone! I've got a bar dilemma. I'm addicted to them! I eat at least 3 a day... And this year I'm going to a boarding school, so will probably eat even more of them! I plan on storing boxes of them in my dorm room closet for study snacks at night.
Is there anything wrong with eating a lot of bars if I stay within my calorie range? I shoot for between 1800- 2400 calories a day depending on how much I exercise.
By the way, my favorite bars are Kashi golean roll bars, gnu fiber bars, fiber one bars, south beach protein bars, pure protein bars, luna bars, kashi crunchy bars, snickers marathon nutrition bars.... I could go on and on! haha

I really should ween myself off of them. When I go away to school, I'll try my best to eat larger meals in the dining hall so I don't need/want to snack as much at night. Maybe I can make some peanut butter sandwiches during dinner to take back to my dorm for a late night snack...
I'm also bringing nuts, beef jerky, pop-open cans of tunafish, and oatmeal packets to school.... those should be good
ehh, i think eat whatever u want. sometimes ull have the bars bc theyre easy+convenient, and sometimes ull have sandwiches bc ull have the oportunity to make them, whichever, whatever, or both!!
also, im sure if ur going to college w/ a dining hall, there will be tons of other things to have as well, a student center also to but stuff.

I would be careful of the "eat whatever u want" philosophy, though. It works to a degree for you college kids, but it takes it toll down the road. I think "things in moderation" is a good philisophy, but maybe watch the beef jerky type things a bit. But your snack selections seem really good to me; I used to marvel at all the HS students I would see walk into the school, carrying large bottles of Regular Mountain Dew and a small sack of doughnuts or rolls. Oh, well, life is short, so,heck have a bit of fun once in awhile. Best of luck!
Well, actually, I'm not going to college... I'm going to boarding school (I'll be in 10th grade)
But anyways, I am trying to loosen up a bit about food and nutrition... I need to start acting more like a "normal" teenager!! haha. I'm going to challenge myself to eat a couple cookies now and then... or maybe go out for ice cream every once in a while. I still want to be healthy, but I hate being so "weird" about food. I need to show myself that chowing down on a burger isn't going to kill me!
Whoops! Well, you will be someday!!!!!!!! LOL But don't be carrying in those megabottles of sugar soda and cartons of doughnuts....well, not too often anyway!
