Nutrition Info misprint?
I just bought a 130g cherry muffin, and on the nutrition panel, it says:
Servings per Package: 1
Serving Size: 130g
Energy per serve: 671kj (160cal)
Energy per 100g: 1030kj (247cal)
But that doesn't make any sense because how can the 100g be more cals than the serving size of 130g?
Anybody know? =( I'm starting to worry about how many calories I just consumed/
It doesn't give you the calories for the serving size, you have to convert them. It looks like it's completely screwed up in the energy per serving, perhaps they meant to have 2 servings originally and forgot to recalculate.
1.3*247 = 321.1 calorie
So that means that the muffin I had was 321 calories? Ugh x.x
Thanks anyway. I wish they would print the right info next time =/
Probably.
The per 100 g information is likely right. It just doesn't happen to be for the entire package. I imagine it would be not an exact science to "premeasure" baked goods, but 30 grams ... that seems like a big difference.
Just like the concept of buying something that appears to be a "single-serving" size, then reading the label and finding out that it is actually 2, or 2.5. That happens a lot. Take your calculator to the grocery store. You will need it!

That's about average for a muffin, unless it's like the size of your thumb.
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
