Is my Nutrition Report broken or am i reading it wrong?
Fat - 16.0% (9 grams)
Protein - 14.3% (19 grams)
Carbohydrates - 69.6% (90 grams)
If I've consumed 10grams MORE protein then fat, why is my fat percentage higher?
It was like this yesterday too, I don't understand it.

because there is 9 calories in a gram of fat and only 4 in a gram of protein
9 grams fat == 81 cals
19g protein = 76 cals
Hey Restless,
The percentage you are reading refers to the percentage of your daily calories that are contributed to each nutrient type. It is not calculated based on total grams of each nutrient.
1 gram of protein = 4 calories
1 gram of fat = 9 calories
1 gram of carbs = 4 calories
So although you ate less fat than protein, because fat contributes more calories per gram it makes up more of your daily caloric intake.
I hope that makes sense!!
