What does the Nutrition Report grade mean?
Asked by genowg on Nov 06, 2009 in Nutrition

How could my analysis pie chart give me an A grade with 31.6%fat, 3.9% protein, and 64.5% carbs?

Answer

Your Nutrition Report grade is based on the grades of the foods you choose.  It is not based on the analysis of your diet.  In other words, you can get an "A" by choosing "A" foods, even in the wrong proportions.  But I looked at your Nutrition Report Analysis for the past 6 days (which anyone can do by setting a Date Range for Display Report on the Food Log) and I got different numbers for the 6-day average: Fat - 17.9%, Protein - 27.5%, Carbohydrates - 45.3%, Alcohol - 9.3%.  That is an acceptable distribution for weight loss.  You could improve your diet by trading in some fruit for vegetables and a little meat for fat-free dairy.
