Obese to Healthy in 4.5 Months

And now for the big news.....(drum roll)......I weighed in today at 149.6! I have officially gone from obese @ 181 (30.11) to healthy in about 4.5 months. -32 lbs. I am so proud of me. I was actually scared to step on the scale, but what a great start to my day. WoW. I am still in shock. Had to step on the scale 2 times to believe it. But the numbers were there: 149.6

I have gone from borderline obese to healthy in 4.5 months, and from a size 12 to a size 6. I would like to thank all of my wonderful friends who have read and responded to my sometimes too long journals, been a support and always encouraged me. And the people who have kept me entertained in the forums, even when we disagreed. Your wonderful advice made the difference between wanting it and being equipped with the knowledge to do it.

When I first got on here I hated my body and was disappointed in myself. Now I feel like I can accomplish anything If I have a plan. I have a healthy relationship with food and love myself more. But I couldn't have done it without you guys. You guys are awesome!

:) I am going to try on my old favorite Abercrombie & Fitch jeans again. I think that will happen when I hit my final goal of 140.

cello, you have given me newfound inspiration. we're about the same height and i'm at the weight you were when you started, and i'm the same size you used to be. i'd thought that when i get to your current weight i'd be a size 8. but you've given me hope that i might be a size 6. that's crazy! i've never even fathomed that size, but you did it for me. thanks for reigniting my weight-loss flames!!!

I know that exact feeling that comes from going into the healthy category!! It was disbelief for me at first, but now that I embrace it, it feels amazing to be considered and to look healthy.

I don't know you, but I just gotta say that is GREAT! I can't imagine how good that must feel to finally be in the 'healthy' range. I started in January and was considered obese at 204, even though I didn't look it. Today marks 40lbs gone for me and I still have about 14 more to go before I'm no longer overweight. But it's posts like this that make me realize it's possible. Awesome for you. Keep up the great work!! :)
