I weigh 120 pounds at 5' 4" right now. I want to lose 7 pounds in 7 weeks, which would put me at 113 by Christmas! That would be GREAT. I am an athlete, as I am a dancer. I am fit and admittedly thin, but I still want to lose the weight, so please don't tell me I don't need to. I just know that it is a lot harder to lose the weight when you are smaller. If anyone could give me a plan, or at least a layout of an idea, that would be great. :)

I would love to join this group, I've been fluctuating up and down the past 2 months. I think I need some accountability to finally get serious and lose the last 5 lbs. I'm in! I am 5'4 and weigh 128, and i too need to get down to business and lose the last 8 pounds. 128 is a healthy weight for me, after all I am 46 years old...the reason i want to lose is to get the presure off my joints! Good luck to all of us!

Hey I have the same stats as you! I'm definitely trying for 7 lbs by Christmas- I've gained some of that 'hey honey' weight after moving in with my fiance and I'm officially tired of it! I was 120.4 on sunday but I'll weigh again tomorrow if that's the official day we're doing!
In for 5! I gained 5lbs and am 110 now so I'd like to just get back to a comfortable zone...
I'm working on the couch to 5k and am on week 6, after that ill be working on an 8k... I may add some weight training in here soon too. :)

Zig zagging is where you calculate an entire weeks worth of calories and change it up from day to day so you have high calories and low calories but at the end of the week, its the same amount as if you ate consistently everyday.
So on Monday you would eat 1800 and tuesday maybe 1200 and wednesday 1450 or something like that.

I am so glad I saw this thread. I just set a goal for myself. I am currently at 120, my goal weight 113 by Christmas. I'm only 5' tall, so I'm a little chubbier than you are.
My calorie goals:
I figured my maintenance calories would be 1694 so I made a spreadsheet that adds my activity calories burned to that and then subtract 500, and that's the calories I can eat in a day. So, 1194 if I don't workout.
My workout goals:
To do three strength workouts per week. To do three cardio workouts per week. At least one day a week to double up.
I'll have to take a look at the information on the zig zagging calories thing. I was debating on whether or not to join weight watchers and count points instead of calories. But, frankly I don't want to spend the money. So, I'm just going to count calories instead. I wonder if since I'm zig zagging my activity level that might be enough to keep my body guessing. Any thoughts?
Yesterday I doubled up on cardio. I did a step aerobics video, and 35 minutes in the pool (the crawl). Today is a strength training for my legs day, and I'll probably get some time in at the pool.

I'm so envious with all this talk of exercising! My life is so crazy-busy for the next 2 weeks that I'm lucky if I can squeeze walking to work in (that's 40 min.), but as soon as I get past this tough spot (Nov 22), I'll be workin' it! The Wed weigh-ins is a great idea. I'm 150 right now and working my way down. For now it's just focus on keeping my eating in check mostly.

Didnt get to the gym til kinda late last night to weigh myself so I am posting a day late....111 goal is 105. But then...after I weighed in and exercised it was movie night with the girls, wine, snacks, more wine, and ice cream--BAD BAD night! I am recommitting today!

Hope yall dont mind if I hop on the bandwagon a little late =) I want to be down to 110 by Christmas... I am in college now and don't know my exact weight but its somewhere between 115 and 120.... I am POSITIVE I can do this. This is the best Christmas present to myself =)

My resolution RIGHT NOW is to work my bum off and get on a solid healthy lifelong schedule so that this year I don't have to make a single new years resolution related to health!

I am on my6 way as we speak to the gym to do the elyptical for 20 min and take a 1hr cardio interval class!
I am 5'5" and my long term goal weight is 120#, although I feel pretty comfortable at 123#.
