7 pounds off by Christmas!

Quote  |  Reply

I weigh 120 pounds at 5' 4" right now. I want to lose 7 pounds in 7 weeks, which would put me at 113 by Christmas! That would be GREAT. I am an athlete, as I am a dancer. I am fit and admittedly thin, but I still want to lose the weight, so please don't tell me I don't need to. I just know that it is a lot harder to lose the weight when you are smaller. If anyone could give me a plan, or at least a layout of an idea, that would be great. :)

Everyone else??

Just realized today is Wednesday - weigh in day :)  - I was 120 this morning;  down a pound from last week.  7 pounds to go.  I've just been cutting out the snacking and desserts and once I hit my calorie goal for the day I am done for the day - even if its 3pm - yikes.   Going out to dinner tonight so need to stay strong  - Hope everyone else is seeing the scale go down or at least maintaining - wishing you much luck and success!

Well spotted cha2chacha!  52.8 - > 0.8!  So 1lb too!  Anyone else?

I'm in..Oh and by the way, this is the very first post I've ever made. I've just recently started this... again! 136 two weeks ago. So far I've lost 6 pounds. 130 this morning.  15 to go to reach my goal weight, not by Christmas though! I'm hoping for 8 by then. Good luck to me and everyone else.

I'm weighing in tomorrow and I hope that the scale moves in my favor! I've been having a hard time this week.

YAY losing weight by xmas!

I'm hoping to get to 99-103 by xmas. My safe BMI range is 103 but since I'm asian and we tend to have tiny body structure I dont think 99 lb would be pushing it. And besides after xmas I will probably be back up to 105 T_T.

Right now I'm 5'2 106-107 ish.

Hi everyone, is it too late for me to join? i have been having a very tough time tryin to keep the weight down recently as back to college and going out a lot at night! i weigh 135-137 at the moment and would love to get down to 130 by christmas...can i still join ye?? will weigh in next weds please please please i need your support!:) now im going for a run to congratulate myself in making the big decision:) xxx

Urgh!  I was so excited when we started this group but I have been avoiding it as of late because I have been terrible!  Eating bad and not making it to the gym...I work crazy hours (desk job from 9:30 to 2:30 ish, restaurant job from 4 to 11-12 in the am).  I am eating late at night, and for some reason, crave carbs like crazy!  I am too tired in the morning to go to the gym then regret it all day.  I really want to recommit to this group though.  I just figured if I wrote this post it would force me to hold myself accountable! wish me luck and post any tips you guys might have for my late night eating...I guess tonight I will try and reach for the carrots and celery in the fridge instead of bread and peanut butter....gym tomorrow am!

132# this am. I know I shouldn't weigh 2 days in a row, but I new I lost some water weight. Now 8# from my goal of 124#.

Staying motivated is hard for me after about 3 weeks. i am trying to write down what i eat every day and not skip meals. My main problem, like many others is night time eating. i find that eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day and then a small (about 150 cal) snack about 1-2 hrs before going to bed and just telling myself "no more food"! works the best.

clg7357, Planning ahead for your meals and carrying those planned meals to work with you may help. It's more difficult when you wait until it's break time at work to figure out what you are going to eat because you are going to be more vulnerable to "comfort foods" and whatever is easy to grab.  Try to spend a few hrs on your day off to plan your meals for the week, go grocery shopping with a list and stick to it. The carb cravings will calm down when you start loading your meals with high fiber foods and combining with some lean protein and healthy fats. You can do it!!

Thanks for the advice...I dont really get a dinner break at work so I can just push off lunch until 3ish and then get to work around 4.  Maybe if I make a snack/dinner and put it in the fridge and know that that is exactly what I will eat when I get home will help. thanks for your advice!

119.4 as of this morning! I'm especially excited because I thought I would have gained this week!

Its Friday!! Anyone have any "weekend diet strategies" to help stay on track?

I plan to avoid my "trigger" foods and try not to overindulge in the alcohol which leads me to overeat. I do plan on relaxing though and having a couple glasses of wine when my boyfriend takes me out to dinner on Sat night.

I will probably weigh again on Sun am. But it depends how much I eat Sat night...

what I do is that I just do the calorie zig zagging, simplified.

I used to plan out my daily calorie intake so I could zig zag and try to stick to it but it was too bothersome!

NOW I just go from low calorie day (900-1000) and then higher calorie (1200-1400) day every other day which evens it out over the week to about 1100-1300 a day. And I just think since I ate alot yesterday, I guess I'll eat less today which is just simple to keep up with. I also set a day once a week where I can eat whatever I want without worrying too much about it. :) It helps me get through and I've lost/maintained pretty much the same so~~

When I eat out, I make sure I try to order something that usually has a huge portion so I'll only eat half of it and take the rest home. I like having left over for lunch/dinner and I don't mind eating out because I like going to restaurant

Can I join? I am just getting back on track and would love to join the group to help me stay motivated! I am currently5'3- 5'4, 114-115 and would love to be at 109-110 by christmas! I just did the 8min taebo video and am getting ready to do it again, you all have completely inspired me to get back on the wagon!!! thanks!

Amy

amy, welcome!

I had a somewhat difficult time this weekend with my main issue- night eating..

Went out to eat on Sat night and had sesame crusted tuna and a very light orzo pasta with fresh veges and 1 glass of Pinot Noir... the waitress asked us if we wanted desert and we said "no thanks"! Well, i guess she thought she would be nice and brought us out a huge plate of their signature desert- the white chocolate bread pudding...well, of course we ate that! It was soo good. But I'm sure added about 600 cals to my meal.

Last night my aunt cooked a whole ham and kept handing me slice after slice... it was hard to stop at just 1 which is all I should have had.

Anyway, i did not weigh this am as I wanted to . I am going to do really well today and weigh in the am instead.

How did everyone elses weekend go?

Hello!

Well,I did great eating sat and sun and then this morning....aaaaaaaaah I work at a senior center and there are a ton of homeade delcious goodies around there now that are so hard to pass up. I ended up eating 15 doughnut holes just to get on here and realize that they are 52 cals  a peice!!!! OUCh! Anyway, I am headed to the elliptical now to try and salvage my morning food weakness! I plan on weighing in on wednesday, right?

Take care!

Amy

Hey All!

I'm mostly checking in with you guys to keep myself on track! Lately I've been having HUGE brunch-ish meals in the morning and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Since I usually have issues with going to bed super full (and then getting tummyaches because I don't digest properly) I figure this is an okay solution right? (it's usually healthy food but this morning not so much.. whoops!) For one, I think it's helping me not to over-do it at night. However I do feel kind of over-full at times. Oh well, maybe my body will adjust?

Amyjo we have ALL done that. At least now you'll have a huge spike of energy from all that sugar lol!

Hi guys...your weekends weren't as bad as mine!!  It was a vacation weekend to Atl for my boyfriends birthday!  Romantic dinner (we did the same thing...no thanks to desert and then they brought us something free)...lots of wine...pizza Sunday pm....beer at the football game sunday!  Not good at all!! I am going to be extra good today and tomorrow, enjoy dinner Thursday without over-indulging (I hope) and then be extra good Friday-Christmas eve!  I haven't been good so far...just been maintaining.  After being stuffed like a Turkey all weekend (and regretting it/feeling uncomfortable) I am motivated not to do that again!  And I am sticking to salads when I have to eat dinner late!  Good luck to all!

Happy thanksgiving everyone! Well, as of this morning I was at 112.2 YAY!!!! However, it is thanksgiving today and I will be thrilled to just eat at maintance. I am not going to way again unitll sunday and I  hope I am down a little more by then....we will see! Good luck to you all today!

Amy

Wow - didn't realize I haven't posted since Nov 17th - I am down one more pound at 119 since last post.  Still 4 pounds to go for my ideal goal weight of 115.  Would like to be 113 - 115 at maintenance.  4 pounds by Christmas - hmmm - is it doable?  I am exercising everyday and only having a small treat after dinner at night.  I guess only time will tell - have a great day everyone!
