Hi Kaybug:
Just go right back on your eating program after a binge. You can do this. Just focus on the prize!!! The prize is your weight loss.
Don't give up, kaybug. One day will not ruin it, trust me. I added up all my deficits and subtracted all the calories I went over my maintenance and still ended up with an over-all deficit. It's OK, just pick yourself up and start over from here. We can do it together.
Stay positive, you are not alone. Make today a great day, don't worry or think too much on yesterday or tomorrow. Just follow your program for today.
See all of you tomorrow for weigh-in. I'm feeling pretty good about it even though it's been kind-of a rough week. I'm still learning so much.
I'm to do NOTHING. My back is deteriorating too quickly. I move around as much as possible and lay down in between.
Today I got the news from my mom that she has to have chemo. She had breast cancer and they removed the tumor and the cancer, but they did a test to see the probability of a recurrance and it was 40%. So she has to have the chemo now. Her 1st treatment will be Friday. My daughter will be cutting her hair off this weekend. She's in beauty school (almost finished) and my mom asked her to do it. I know it's gonna be hard for her to shave grandma's hair off, but she'll do it for her.
When it rains, it pours.....![]()
Weigh in tomorrow!!! Don't worry if you had a gain, it's part of the process. We can do this, We can beat this weight problem of ours! It's a journey of learning....
Focus on today......
momof2funykds, you are amazingly strong! I am so impressed by your positive attitude and determination. It is very inspiring.
Alright, I'll keep trying guys! It's just tough because I'm still battling my binging problem, and if I slip up more then once a week, I get really scared that I'm going to go back to binging every other day and gaining more and more weight. @_@
Thanks for your support you guys!
momof2funykds, I swear I feel like my problems are so tiny compared to yours, and I think you're incredible being able to stay positive and strong! +0+ Just thought I should let you know.
Ok, so I cheated and weighed myself yesterday and today I tried, but it was on a different scale so I'll average the two. So far so good! Good luck to everyone!

Momof2funykids, So sorry to hear about your back. Have you considered back surgery? My husband had it -- he had a herniated and fragmented disk in lumbar region -- and it made a world of difference. The surgery was over 20 years ago, so the recovery and techniques are probably much improved now.
Whatever your decision, don't let this temporary setback prevent you from eating healthfully. I found that the only way I could keep from binging myself, was to get rid of all my red-light binge foods and only keep healthy foods in the house. They're just not as much fun to binge on, and if you do binge on them, they won't do any damage. And remember how much progress you've already made!! 70 lbs is GREAT!! The last 10-15 are the hardest, AND the slowest! So good luck, and hang in there!!
Thanks so much for your kind words and thoughts everyone.
Deegee ~ I had back surgery in '99 and all the neurosurgeons I've seen in the last year won't touch me now. What I've mostly heard is that what is going on is unavoidable and my back is just going to deteriorate. The mystery is just how fast is this going to happen. It's taken 2 years for the L3-4 to go bad. That's pretty darn quick. So, no, I'm not happy. The usrgeon who did my surgery said 2 years ago it failed. Finally after all those years of suffering with my pain, he admitted it failed. Not easy for a surgeon to do and I realise that.
I'm on SSD, which I had no problem getting. So I know what the Dr's put on my charts wasn't good news. Most people have to fight to get Disability for years. So am I lucky or unlucky? Hmmmmm ![]()
Back to weight loss...........Looks like most of us either stayed pretty much the same or lost! GREAT!!! I would've lost if I wouldn't have gave in to the junk food when I was feeling sorry for myself. But yesterday I weighed 177!!! Today was 174.4 (up .2 from last week), so I'm still at a loss overall. ![]()
Lets be focused and determined to do well this week! I'm going to try really hard to stay away from junk and concentrate on losing something. LOL
Good luck!
I stayed the same this week and I know why. I just reverted back to what I was doing originally. I think it takes a couple of weeks to get it right. I'm hoping for a loss next week because I'm starting to get in the groooove.
Ok, where are the 8 people who didn't weigh in???? browneyedgirl, di_p, girlfighting27, betharoo2u, unlimitedana, supreet, tsc319 and tincognito????? where you all at??? I hope you check in with us.
I did ok today with my eating. I went and bought cucumbers to snack on. The price went down so I bought some. The bananas looked too green to buy. If I can't eat them right away, I don't get them. lol
I'm trying to lose weight this week, I gotta do this!!!!
I'll be checking in with you all often, so I hope to hear from you all.
Those of you who posted your weights, keep on trying! ESKIMO-EM, don't worry, you still lost 2 lbs so far and that's good! KAYBUG, you gained a pound from last week, but you're still the same as your original weight so it's ok. DEEGEE, How'd you lose all that weight? Let us in on your secret. LOL
What does everyone like to snack on? Besides the unhelathy chips and cookies! hehehe I like cucumbers.
Ok, I am so weird but I like to snack on Fiber One cereal. I just pour 1/2 cup in a bowl and watch TV. It's only 60 calories and full of fiber! Also, I like edamame, I heat it up, add a little salt and make sure I don't have more than a cup. I like that it has protein and very little carbs.
Things I cannot snack on because they make me want to binge are Honey Nut Cheerios and graham crackers.
Also, I love beets! I could eat a whole can. yummy.
When I want something sweet & crunchy I eat 1 serving (45 grams) of vanilla shreddies.
buggyhair - What the heck are vanilla shreddies? LOL
My favorite.
I like to snack on yoplait light yogurt, air-popped popcorn, and cashews or pistachios.
However, if I have even one bite of caremal corn, I end up eating 600+ calories of it. I had to take a big bag of it to my in-laws so that I could stop eating it.
v_avila - I crave sweets too. But, the little goes a long way doesn't work well for me. And when I give in, I have such a hard time the rest of the day. I just feel hungrier and hungrier. But, when I am avoiding them I am usually OK. I like to bake though and then I have the excuse that I have to try the treat to make sure they are OK.
lalelis - congratulations. Wow! I am impressed. I am definitely interested in your exercise routine; or, whatever you did to make such huge leaps.
On the go andin the know.
