Off-limits dating

Im into a teacher i have at my high school. Im just about finished grade 12, he's 22 years old and just started teaching. I talk to him about some stuff recently, just small talk more like... any suggestions on how i could really start a good relationship going on my part?

Hes not my teacher, but he talks to me all the time, any suggestions?

Wait till after graduation.  Even though he's not your teacher currently, this could mess up his career.  Just hold off a bit.  You don't have much longer to wait.

Any suggestions?  How about asking him out (after graduation of course).

Please wait til you graduate otherwise you could risk ruining his career. If you really wanna date him, you can wait a couple more weeks. There is a horrible stigma on teachers who date their students (even if he isn't your teacher, you're still a student at his school).

ahhahha grab a camera, put it on tape, and send it to hollywood. this sounds like a great script for another of the million gazillion "reality" shows out there!! :X

I have a lot of teacher friends, and they really feel strongly about this. I have seen several times where this happened and it will always be a shadow on your relationship and his career.

suggestions: suggest to go for coffee right after graduation. Or perhaps there is some alternative reason to bump in to him in your summer hols?

i'd give it some time to pursue this guy! even right after graduation there will still be talk if this teacher starts dating a student that has just graduated.

"OMGGG can you believe Mr. So and So is dating iheartwine!!"

you really don't want to cause him to be the subject of gossip at school, or stick him with a negative label for dating a student. people might jump to the conclusion that something was going one before you graduated. 

if you feel a really strong connection with him, maybe get his e-mail after graduation and discretely start talking. if it seems like something could really come of it, then after a while it'll be ok to "go public" with it.

This is what one of my good high school friends did.  They've now been happily married for more then 30 years. 

Also, something that no one else has mentioned: Just because you're out of school doesn't mean you're legal yet.  Wait until you're 18!

I agree with Jules, You really need to wait a few months before approaching him.

uh, i dunno about anyone else - but me and the majority of my high school-mates were 18 when we graduated. and me personally, i was 18 in november of my senior year of high school.

I didn't turn 18 until 2 months after I graduated.  My daughter graduated last year at 16 (she skipped a couple years).  I'm just saying- out of high school doesn't necessarily make you of legal age.

I was 17 when I graduated and didn't turn 18 until 3 weeks after I left for college. My son was 17 when he graduated and turned 18 at the end of august.

Not everyone is 18 when they graduate. Not every boy is held back so they'll be bigger for sports in highschool.
