I've lost 30 lbs since Jan w/ the help of calorie count. I've been stuck at the same weight since April or May with about 17 lbs still left to lose. The plateau combined with stress from lots of summer visitors (I live in Alaska), putting in overtime at work etc has caused me to fall far off the wagon. I haven't even logged into cc for like a month or more. Plus I've eaten at fast food joints, snuck off for cheese fries...you name it. The good news is I haven't gained any weight. It's also bad news...because how in the world am I gonna get over this plateau? I've tried upping exercise, decreasing exercise, upping calories, sticking to a strict 1200/day diet and now I've just plain given up. Knowing I've been at the same weight for atleast 3 months is not helping me get back on the wagon.
PS. The article emailed that I got today from cc about falling off the wagon prompted me to post this ...and finally log into cc for the first time in a long while. (my stats, age 28, 5'7", 160 lb, goal 143 lb.)

Don't give up!!!!! You'll hate yourself. You've come this far and there's no sense in throwing away what you've done. So what if you're not to goal yet? You've done wonderful things for yourself with the weightloss to this point and you can do more. Take some time to just maintain, but don't go back to what you've left behind. I'm speaking from experience, was down 27# hit a plateau, maintained for several months and finally let stress win. I gained back 20#. Kicking myself every day for the weight I now need to reloose. Tie a knot in your string and hang on tight to the weight you're currently at. You'll be so glad you did.
Thanks alot! I certainly don't want to gain back what I've lost. Perhaps if I did start gaining it would motivate me to get back on the diet wagon. LOL. I'll get there. I'm stressed and in a diet rut. This too shall pass. THANK YOU for the kind advice and encouragement.
