Office Supplies

Quote  |  Reply

What are your favorite office supplies?  You know, the ones you want to take home with you because they are just so nifty?  My own personal favorite is Tombo Correction Tape; comes in a handy dandy plastic dispenser.  Gone are the days of waiting for correction fluid to dry!  Sometimes I make mistakes just so I can correct them! (Sad, huh?)  I also adore, simply adore, Index Tabs (in a variety of colors) as well as Tab Dividers!  These things do not really aid me in being any more organized, I just like the way they look!

Anybody else out there with an office supply fetish?

I have a thing for fine stationary, fountain pens and ornately carved old desks.

I snagged a cast-iron swingline stapler from a former workplace.  They've yet to find me or it.

Pens and stationary and more pens and stationary.  And pens.  And in case you were wondering, also pens.

But in general I love all colorful, unusual office supplies.

And pens.

Correction tape. Post-its. Multicolored binder clips. Clicky pens. Even better, clicky magic markers.

Excuse me. I believe you have my stapler.

We get these really expensive gell roller pens at work and I love them. I bring my notebooks to work and write out story ideas and grocery lists and anything I can think of with them.

I love going to staples but I can never justify spending money on anything I want there. Lately I've got into scrapbooking, for Christmas gifts, so I've at least had an excuse to buy glue sticks and stickers.

Pens.  Always pens.  Oh, I also really like post-its.  I get excited when I get to order supplies.  I like hunting through the catalog...  Yeah, I'm weird.

i kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire

I could write your Board of Tourism and I could have this place condemned.

I love office supply catalogs!  I once bought a really nice hole punch for the office, just because I could!  I also purchased a really pretty wrist rest and mouse pad (for myself, I confess!) too!

*wonders if it's a sin to covet other peoples office supplies?*

I used to watch the squirrels, and they were merry.

...and I said no salt, no salt on the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt...

yes, but have you spent 60+ minutes just BROWSING through a Staples or Office Depot?  I have, like happyfish22 I can't really justify buying anything anymore -- but I sure do covet.

Post-its, legal pads, file box, sharpies, etc, etc, etc.  Love my office supplies -- can't wait until I get into a desk job again (but ONLY because of the office supplies, otherwise, I'd rather win the lottery than work -- but won't spend money on a ticket.... Undecided)

...I could put strychnine in the guacamole...

Had to Google the quote.  Never seen the movie, so that explains why the quotes make to sense!

I have post-its that I got before I was married that I have kept, and not used, because they had my name on them, and therefore were special.

I love all the office organizational stuff.  Binders, dividers, folders, cubbies - Somehow they never seem to work at reducing the clutter...Undecided

And I could really go for a die cut machine, and a binding machine, and a laminating machine.  Those wonderful 50 page hole punchers.  Yards and yards of colored paper to make wonderful wall murals.  Copies, warm off the machine, the smell of ink.  Really - I think I just want to have a school supply room attached to my house.

BINDER CLIPS. I take them home to keep my bags of coffee, cereal, etc closed.

My current favorite office supply that I actually use in the office is the rotary paper cutter. Mmmm...it cuts paper so good...

I like binder clips, and they don't even have to be the multicolored ones.  I like making sculptures with them.

I'm surprised nobody has said rubber bands to make a rubber band ball.  (And I mean a real rubber band ball, made as the result of a hard won collection, not those premade neon things at Office Max.)

And I think brand new, sharp, interesting looking business cards are about the coolest thing ever.  Even from people I know I'll never see again.

Twine. Our mail comes bound in twine and I once saved it for a period of three years and had an amzaing ball of twine that I sent as a gift to the crazy post office guy who lives to torment me! (I know, twine is not technically an office supply, but I still love it!)

.5 Mechanical pencils.

Drawing with a .7 is just TOO messy.
(One day I will find the elusive .3)
