*makes note to send tap dancing gorilla to HK's reception*

That oughta be fun!
*wishes whoever has been doing the rain dances around here would stop*
ballroom can be fun.  it all depends.  with an advanced smooth waltz you really move a lot around the floor, large dramatic steps, kinda cool.  you can also do salsa in ballroom but it's more technical than in regular latin classes or what you find at festivals and clubs (more loose and more fun in my opinion) but it's all good.

foxtrot tends to be boring i think though.  meh, it's okay.

swing is cool too but i've only learned the basic east coast swing.
*makes note to remind hk to remove said tap-dancing gorilla's mask - as it will probably reveal charlington*
Eh.. I don't like Ballroom MUSIC. Latin music, I could get into. Same with Swing. Ballroom.. blah.

*agrees with 784*
When the waltz was first introduced abroad is was thought to be scandalous..one of the first dances where a man held a woman in her arms...wayyyy too sexual for the time...

of course women never wore real underwear or bras back then, so...you know, maybe it was...
if you watch so you think you can dance you will see just how diverse 'ballroom' music can be...

:)
I agree with Lily on the waltz thing - couples who have been together for a long time really get it going.

And it is amazing to watch.
I want to take ballroom lessons with E because it's the best way to teach someone how to move.

But ... I don't plan on having waltzes played at the wedding ....
I took tap, ballet, and jazz a kid but I didnt do much after that.

I did learn some maranga (sp?) when i was in arizona, but I want to do more. Its just that I have a mess at the momment.

I was thinking that when little people got a little older it would be something we would do together
The closest to a waltz I like is "Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps" by Cake.
No. If it's me, I'll be dressed as a tap-dancing guerilla.

And when the officiant asks if anyone knows of a reason HK and K shouldn't be married, I'll leap into action.

"The tap dancing ees over, folks. HK ees my b*tch now."
as much as i love dance i've not ever really watched any of those new dancing shows.  i should and when i do happen to catch one of them i love to watch it.  but i guess i just don't watch a lot of tv.  or i'd rather be out dancing than watching it :-)

i'm horrible with freestyle dancing though.  like if you just throw me out on a dance floor with modern hip hop, r&b etc.  i draw a blank.  if there aren't steps or moves or a partner, i'm like a deer in headlights

.....unless i've had a few :-)
hee hee Charlotte...dig a girl with an accent...
LOL IRL @ that one Charlotte!
LOL @ Char
definately bobbi.  first things first but when you get a chance totally take a class, they're fun and you meet a lot of cool people
Hk ees Charlotte's beach?
And *THAT* Charlotte, is why you aren't invited!
::cackle::

So... what is "in" for guerilla fashion these days?
