Officially Starting Over

Quote  |  Reply

So, I was doing really great from January-Mid March...lost 9 pounds, but then something happened and I lost ALL concepts and motivation of weight lost...and I gained back about 4 pounds back. So I have been telling myself, "Okay, there is still tomorrow...it's okay. Just get back on the wagon." BUT, that has not worked. So now I look here for help. Tonight I went nuts on food...and I decided I will not log it, let the night go, but let it be a goodbye to this terrible cycle. Tomorrow, I am starting over. I am going to post what I eat everyday and what exercise I do so that way I have a way of feeling guilty if I do so terribly.

I CAN DO THIS! TOMORROW IS THE OFFICIAL NEW BEGINNING!Embarassed

Sunday is my official new beginning. Good luck to you!
Good job putting it in writing I am starting again myself and as soon as I posted it I felt I had to do it. Welcome back. I am back this time for good health not just the slim waist I am trying to get.

good morning! remember, today is the day!

I have been at the "starting over" point about 10 times.  This makes me feel better that i'm not the only person.

We can do it.. Woooohoo! That just means that once we really get it, we'll be secured in our new lives for a very long time!

Good luck!! I'm starting over on monday :S

You're not alone Cckaeplus. I "start over" every other week. LOL I guess it's a bad habit, but one of these days... I'll do it. We'll all do it! I mean, if we didn't start over all the time, it would mean we didn't care, right? We care enough to "start over" to try again and again to be the healthy selves we want to be.

Anyway. Enough preaching. Heheh. We can do it! here's to a new day!
Hey you guys!  If you want to succeed, don't start over tomorrow.  Don't wait until monday.  Start fresh right now, this minute, and start making healthy choices for yourself.

Brokeeeee,

I am in the exact same boat as you!!  I lost 9lbs Jan. to Mid March.  Then St. Patrick's day KILLED me!!  I have not been able to get back on track since.  I'm not sure how much I gained back at least 2 or 3.  I'm scared to step on the scale.  Do you want to "start over" together?

why do you need to start over?  we all make our own rules, don't we?  just make a few simple changes that you can live with...  and take it from there  :D

we all fall, but that's not quitting.  anyway, good luck!

Wow..just wanted to say that the EXACT same thing happened to me (in the same time frame too)! And today made the same decision...and went to the gym :) I guess part of the motivation is that I've managed to keep most of the weight off so far. Anyway, good luck starting over!

Me, too!  I had gotten a little complacent when I hit a TWO MONTH plateau (because even though I wasn't losing, I also wasn't gaining) but now it has gotten away from me and I have gained back 5 pounds.

I have gone in and tweaked my goals for specific, short term deadlines.  I hope this will help me stay focused if it is just one goal at a time ...

good luck and good decision making to us all!

our bodies fight tooth and nail against weight loss...why diets dont work..lifestyle changes do!

My official "start over" is tomorrow also...The only difference I have than everyone else is I started a year ago...I lost 35 pounds fairly quick and kept it off, started losing inches...Well, mid-January until now, I have gained back around 15 pounds....I am very discoraged right now, so the extra support should get me going...thanks everyone!!!

I'm feeling pretty down right now too, because I had a major binge day yesterday. I'm disappointed with myself for not having more self-control. Sometimes wandering around here you can start to feel like everybody is losing weight and being super healthy and perfect, but I guess this thread is a reflection of the fact that many of us are actually struggling. But health is something worth fighting for... So here's to new starts!

Don't give up! Smile
