often bloated and gaseous by afternoon
so i've been doing the calorie count thing and trying to eat healthy, but I notice that i've been really bloated and gaseous in the afternoon. What do you guys think i should do? I'm thinking adjust what i'm eating but I don't know how. I know I don't get a lot of fiber, I try to avoid extra carbs and I don't have alot of dairy so not sure whats going on?
what about artificial sweeteners? Sometimes those can be the cause of gas.
Alot of people have that reaction to artificial sweeteners. Have you started eating more things with artificuial sweeteners in ithem?
Today I had oatmeal w/raisins and brown sugar, I don't intentionally use artificial sweetners, and also had a cup of tea. For a snack I had 1 serv of cheetos & cup of tea (both times no milk and 3 regular sugars) and for lunch lentil and sweet potatoe soup with crackers and my last snack was a Grace Coconut water.
And I am bloated now. Definitly not period related.
How is your salt intake? I don't know anything about cheetos but it definitely seems like they could be a big source of sodium as well as crackers and soup (especially if it's from a can)
I try to consume 1L of water a day but I do have to try and cut back on the salt, and I can try to cut back on the sugar to see if that helps. Thank You.
So I pretty much suffer just like you except I get gassy & bloated after dinner - I know why too - I chew a lot of gum & eat really big dinners - but otherwise I pretty much like the way I eat & such so I don't think I am going to change my ways - what I have introduced into my life recently though that has helped tremendously is digestive enzymes! I am far less bloated & gassy which really helps with my social life! I still chew gum and eat large dinners so granted the whole bloat/gas problem will not cease completely but if you do not eat large eats &/or chew gum, I really think digestive enzymes will help you out a lot too!
What does your diet consist of? Sometimes what you eat for lunch could be the major culprit or perhaps it is some hidden ingredient in the foods you consume?!
