Hi everyone! I am just wondering how often should you weigh yourself? Everyday? Once a week? What are your thoughts?
everyone is different. i am addicted to my scale so i weigh every morning. some ppl wait until their designated weigh in day. a lot of ppl ahve to take a break fromt eh scale for a few weeks. do what works for you. if you tend to freak out over normal weight fluctuations then stick to once a week or so.
I weigh myself in the morning then again at night
I never do. I haven't weighed myself in a year and a half. I don't even own a scale anymore. I go by how my clothes fit.
Twice a week, but I think it's more important about how my clothes fit.
i wish i could stop weighing myself! LOL i weigh myself every morning & then normally at least 5 times again from like dinner til bedtime.
sometimes i get up during the night to go to the bathroom & weigh myself again
Snowfence, it was a tough habit to break. I had to throw my scale out, and believe me, that was hard to do. Even now it's hard to step on the scale at the doctor's office backwards and not look. I make sure they don't tell me the number because. You have no idea how much I would love to hear that i'm below a certain number, but I never want to go back to being a slave to that thing again so I resist.
I belong to a diet support group (TOPS) take off pounds sensibly and we meet on Saturdays, but i am going to start weighing myself on Wednesday too. the important thing about weighing in is: Wear the same clothing, same time of day and use the same scale. that is the best advice i can give you during your journey to weight loss. Consistency.

I wake up in the morning and pee and then i weight myself before i've eaten or drunken anything. I count that as my weight, but i always weigh myself 3-5 more times a day anyways. i'm definitey addicted. lol.
first thing every morning, but sometimes I skip a day.....I always pee first too^^. I look at the mirror for most of my critisism though.
I weigh myself once a day in the mornings, post bathroom, pre consumption of anything. I use a spreadsheet to keep track of my weight loss, but only log that weekly, hence making more of a general trend in it than the day to day ups and downs.
I did for a little while weigh myself several times a day, and it was intresting to see the fluctuations, but I think that in the long run they don't mean anything.
If I've been out for a big meal or something with friends, I'm prone to weighing myself that evening. Which makes the morning a bit less of a shock ;]

not good, IMO...I wish I could just stick to once a week....
definitely too often...have to wean myself to ONCE a morning ONLY! *sighs*
Because of my large weight, I use a scale at a clinic.
Started once every two week but now once a week. I find it helps keep perspective but suspecting when I can weigh on my home scale, it will be harded to limit to once weekly - just out of curiosity.

Once a week, it's too frustrating otherwise. I make sure it's just when I wake up, before I eat anything. But measurments and how you're fitting into your clothing is a better way of seeing if your weight loss plan is working.
Twice every day.In the morning ,after I go to the bathroom,and in the evening,right before I go to bed.
One a week works if you are trying for a steady loss. (been doing that with my husband using CC's recomendations and diligent tracking of calories(using a scale) over 7 weeks I've seen a 15 lb loss showing up clearly with a weekly weighing) If not bothering to count calories, possibly every day if one is trying to maintain a certain weight and would like to quickly adjust the "binge" one really should not have had. the daily weight passing for a rought calorie count ?
I weigh myself everyday....... very bad habit. I just started working out for the past 3 weeks and I have not lost 1lb. Getting a little discouraged. So, I have decided to weigh myself 1 a week.
Everyday. That way I find you get used to the normal fluctuations. Ie Friday 161lbs; Sat 157lbs: Sun 159lbs and Mon as 159lbs. As long as its within 3-4 lbs of my average weight for the week (159lb) I know it's okay and it is slowly going down. last month my average was 161lbs
I used to everyday after going to the bathroom, but I have hit a plateau for the past 3 weeks so I have moved to weighing once a week on Wed. It has been hard not to step on the scale though.
