I use to weigh myself everyday... (I just get so curious...)

Now I am trying to weigh myself once a week. (It's so hard...)

How often do you weigh yourself? Do you think it is better to weigh yourself more often or not?

Personally, I weigh myself everyday, at the same time everyday.  However, I only use the measurements from Saturdays to gage my weightloss.

every day works for me.  that way bad days don't have so much impact, and i'm less likely to get deluded by a fluke.

I used to never weigh myself , I'd just go by dress size, then when the weight stopped dropping off as fast I changed the the exact opposite.

I weigh myself as soon as I wake up - This is the one I record.

I weigh myself after I finish work, After I exercise, After I shower, Before bed and everytime I use the bathroom and see the scales sitting there.

Im slightly obsessed...

It depends on how you're going to react.   If you weigh daily you will see your weight go up and down (sometimes quite a lot).  If you can see those fluctuations and understand that they're meaningless then you'd probably be OK.  However, if you're treating them as meaningless it begs the question, what's the point of even looking....? Smile If you see the daily fluctuations and you're the type to get upset or be tempted to eat nothing if they show an increase, then stay off the scales.

I weigh weekly.  I once tried weighing daily and found it so irritating that I stopped after 5 days.  It felt like I enjoyed what I ate less because I was concerned what the scales would say the next day.  The number on the scales seemed to bear no relation to what I'd eaten/not eaten/done/not done the day before.... made no sense.  And, by the end of the week, I was exactly the same weight as when I'd started.  So all the numbers in between were pretty pointless.

I wish I could weigh once a week.  I really do.

I get on the scales every morning when I wake up after I go to the toilet.  I try not to let the numbers bother me too much - but I do get a bit angry and frustrated when they don't move (or move the wrong way).

I weigh myself everyday, or every other day. I find that when I don't myself for more than a week let's say I start becoming rather ignorant about my weight. Especially if I am exercizing! I'll eat more thinking that I am thinner, then when I realize I am actually gaining weight I put off biting the bullet and getting back on the scale and back to reality.

So I usually weigh myself every day or every other day. Yesterday I weighed myself and I as 163.2 and today I was 163.4 (haha), but I am completely ok with that.

Everyday and trying to control the urge to get on the scale in the middle of the night!  I am determined not to regain this weight and when it goes up, even knowing it is a salt/water fluke, I am more diligent to count calories and exercise that day.

once a week or every 2 weeks sometimes, I don't want to see the up and down from water retention.

Maybe twice a month, if that. In the beginning of my weight loss adventure I would weigh myself every day. That quickly became the most exasperating activity of my life! One day I would be down 3 lbs., the very next day the scales would read that I had gained 6 lbs. There are so many factors in our lives that affect our weight every day. Sodium intake, menstruation, hormones, exercise, medications, being right-handed, wearing a sombrero,  the list goes on and on. It's akin to looking at your retirement account on a daily basis. It will make you insane. Or in my case, more insane than I already am.  Enjoy your day!

I hate it but I confess I am addicted to the scale it is a phase I am going through as I learn to trust myself as I learn to lose weight. I weigh myself several times a day. I feel you should weigh yourself once a week at most the same time of day or every other week. When I trust myself I will do that, I hope it is soon I am going crazy some days as the scale can fluctuate up to five pounds.

You won't learn to trust yourself by hopping on and off the scales every five minutes and getting upset at the fluctuations.  Really and truly..... put the scales away because what you're doing isn't helping anything and is only adding to your anxiety.  Realistically, what's the worst that could happen if you don't step on the scales tomorrow?  Are you suddenly going to eat lots more than normal because the 'scales can't see you doing it'?..... Doubt it.

I weigh myself every morning after I go to the bathroom.  Sometimes I do it prior to bedtime but never take that weight too seriously.

I find that my mindset it great as long as my weight doesn't go up from the previous day's weigh-in.  Any significant losses never really do anything to me emotionally as I mentally chalk it up to dehydration as strange as that may seem.

I do get a thrill out of charting my weight and watching it slowly come off.

I weigh myself on Monday and Friday.  I always only weigh one time, no jumping on and off the scale, always in the morning, no clothes, after using the toilet.

The Monday Friday deal is perfect for me.  On Friday I see how I did since Monday, on Monday I see how I did over the weekend, and then I plan out what I would like to see on the following Friday.  It's a real motivator for me, better than waiting a whole week in between.

Weighing everyday is ok but like others mentioned, only if you're not going to get freaked out if you're up a pound or 2 from sodium, etc.

I weigh myself every third or fourth day, almost always first thing in the morning just to keep myself honest and on track.  I realize there are fluctuations so I don't get too concerned with a slight gain or loss. Basically, the number I use to track my overall weight loss,  is once a week in the AM (first thing) usually on Friday's.

I usually weigh on Fridays. I used to weigh daily but the fluctuations made me paranoid and I would barely eat all day just to see the number on the scale go down the next day. Once a week is much better for me.

Ditto. Struggled with my weight for my entire life. I weigh myself daily to remind myself.

Every single day. I'm obsessed!

I have lost 96 pounds in the past year doing it this way but I still hate it I have gone from487 to 391lbs.

I weigh myself every day. I like to see the progress, and I understand when I go up and down a little everyday.
