How often do you weigh?
my goal is once ever few weeks!
When I first started changing my eating habits I stepped on the scale probably 4 or 5 times a day, the curiosity was just too much, but I only logged the average of when I first got up and right before bed. Right now I weigh myself first thing in the morning, and don't really find myself with any urge to check more often. If I miss one morning, it's no big deal. For me starting my day with a quick hop on the scale is a reminder of what I'm trying to do with my eating habits. I think once I'm closer to the weight I want to maintain I'll probably only weigh in once a week because by then I hope my new eating habits will be worked into my head enough that I don't have to think about them to remember to do them. ![]()
Twice a day at the same time in the morning and evening. I keep a log of what I weigh at each time and what I had to eat & drink before I weighed myself. 6+ months of this has taught me what a normal fluctuation is so I am less likely to freak if I find myself up 2 pounds in the evening after having a couple of vodka and soda's
i have a REALLY bad habit of weighing myself every 10 seconds (recovering ana) and i also have a REALLY REALLY bad habit of weighing myself right after meals and then freaking at the number.
i'm slowly working towards weighing myself once a day; every morning after waking up and going to the bathroom with no clothes on. and eventually i will weigh myself every other day.
i don't think i could ever get to be one of those once-a-week weighers.
weigh weekly.......so you aren't upset at normal daily fluctuations.
weight daily.........so you can catch a couple of pounds so it isn't so hard to lose.
I weight every morning and after I exercise, I come back here and edit it as its always lower. Also if I wake up in the middle of the night I weigh.
