is it once a week? same day same time ?

is it twice a week?

is it everyday?

more than one time a day?

do you weigh yourself in the morning or the evening ?

I used to weigh myself once a week. Monday morning 6:30 AM.

but I noticed that my weight on Monday morning is usually 2lbs more than Tuesday morning  consistently !!!!

now I am on the scale every morning !!! The fluctuation is fascinating!

i weigh every morn after i pee..lol but i dont really look at what i did for the week till mondays, mondays is when i see how much ive lost for the whole week.
Although I am on the scale every morning, I do the same thing , I only count the Monday morning reading . Out of curiosity, is your Monday reading consistently higher than Tuesdays?
Because I am able to understand and live with daily fluctuations, I  normally weigh myself once in the morning and one at night.  I'm curious and try to tie in my weight with my eating patterns.

Weights can fluctuate alot.  I'm not a fan of weighing myself on Mondays.  Reason being that I'm usually a little more relaxed on the weekends and my weight doesn't stabilize until Wednesday or so.
well yea let me correct that i weigh myself at night as well cause i have an idea of how much of the scale reading drops off by morn.

and about the weighing more tues thing, its happened but not usally
I know this is a hot topic sometimes, and I handle recording my weight a little differently, however, I weigh myself everyday, but I only record my weight when I show a loss, even if it bounces back up the next day...hence the reason why I weigh everday, because there are such fluctuations...weighing everyday keeps me focused on that downward trend in loss that I record.

Psychologically, it is better for me to see numbers go down on my graph, but daily fluctuations are taken into consideration and worked on all the time!!!

Once a week. Every friday. :)
everyday.  and i really need to cut that out :) Dumb scale is not my friend right now :) But my measuring tape is. So that's alright.
I weigh everyday, but Thursday is my weigh in day. I usually bottom out for the week that day.
I weigh myself every Monday. I find that if I weigh myself everyday I feel more stressed out because it might go up a pound or so.
*runs to scale to make sure it didn't escape*

Way to much.  I am trying to weigh weekly, this is my 9th day trying and I have yet to make it past my morning pee.
I weigh everyday and record everyday, but Sunday is my "official" day that I calculate weekly losses from.  I want to move to a weekly weigh-in, but it scares me!
Every day (same as Erica, right after I pee every morning :). But I count Monday as my "weigh in day" - it helps to keep me well behaved on the weekends.
I weigh myself every day in the morning wearing shorts and a tank top or t-shirt with no shoes on at 6:00 before I work out.  I find it is easier to keep an accurate record of your weight if you use the same scale, the same time of day, and are wearing the same type of clothes.
I weigh myself everyday as both a "reward" and motivation.

If i know i'm weighing myself every morning, and recording it on my chart, that i'm less likely to have the feeling of:  "oh, i'll just burn that piece of cake off tomorrow".   I do NOT want to see that line on my chart go up, and weighing in keeps me motivated.   Also, after a good day of eating and exercise, it's a great reward to see positive results!

I take down my "official" weight in the morning, after i pee, but i also weigh myself at night.   It keeps me from eating bedtime snacks that really are unnecessary.
I have this really cool program called WeightWare. I weigh myself every morning, and then it gives me all kinds of cool charts and graphs, including my moving average, my weight trend compared to goal weight trend, rate of weight loss, and weekly average. It also shows the avg weight by day of week, which demonstrates my lightest day is Wednesday and Sunday and Monday are my heaviest days (because I eat out on the weekends).

Theoretically with this program you don't need to count calories - you just watch the direction of the graph over time and adjust accordingly. For example somehow - based on my weight pattern - it knows that I had a -254 calorie day yesterday. I still count calories anyway, but the program is surprisingly accurate.

If you miss a day of weighing, it's no problem, it extrapolates and takes an educated guess. But the more data points, the better.

Anyway, this morning I weighed myself more often than usual. Usually I just weigh myself once. But for some odd reason, I decided to weigh myself a second time, after breakfast and before lunch... oh I know, it was because of a thread here about BF% so I wanted to check mine... and lo and behold, I'd dropped 0.4 lbs since the early AM, despite breakfast, tons of coffee and water. Go figure! But I'm having a really good week - according to my weightware I'm in "weight loss" mode this week versus "modest weight loss" mode, like I was in for the last two weeks.

When I first got my scale, I was constantly weighing myself just for fun and to see how my scale works. I have found that often it's late afternoon that reads the lightest, not the morning. I'm not sure why.
I weigh in Monday morning and just Monday morning.  It would be tough if I saw the fluctuations during the week.

I'm glad I'm not the only one racking up the frequent weigh-in miles. I weigh almost every day and find when the day before was bad are the days I dont want to weigh.
I weigh in every morning after any bathroom functions like many of you.  I have learned that despite the fluctuations from day to day, my trend line continues in a downward direction and therefore I don't freak if I gain one day.  (Gain two days in a row and I am freaking).

I don't really count the weight as lost until the scale does not show the number anymore and the days I gain .5 to 1 lb keep me motivated to do really well that day.
This article talks about the differences in amount of weight lost and maintenance of people who wiegh daily verses less often.  Food for thought.
