How often does everyone work out? Just curious! Right now, I'm working out 6-7x a week, but today I forced myself to have an off day. :) I'm a liiiiiiiiiiittle obsessive. Loves it, loves it.

I've been working out 6-7X /week too!! and totally loving it. I've been doing hard core cardio/weight training classes and I feel great. But today I just took a yoga class - I'm trying to give my body a little break.
mmm 3 days a week at the gym, 3 days a week walking the dogs
5-6 days on the Eliptical for 30 to a hour a go, work (walkin and cleaning all day) and on my off day i walk and clean.... so im not obsessive, but i love it too Lizzlebizzle, its the reulsts you seee that gets me going!!!
you all keep it going!! your see big old results!! and hay, like i said before. So what if the scale says the same? or inches are the same? take a closer look... at your back, your legs, your face - see the changes! there will be lots if you take your time to see!

During the week...I excerise is my commute to work...
Run 3 days a week to and from work. (approx. 7km each way.)
Bike 2 days a week to and from work (same - 7km each way)
Weekends.
Long Saturday or Sunday Run. (10-15km) If my legs are feeling tried, I will Bike instead.
Bottom line is...listen to your body...if you are feeling tried or sore or just need to rest take the day off. The worst thing is over working yourself and becoming fatguied.
I usually alternate every other day - one day I workout, one day I take off. I usually don't work out on the weekends. It seems to be working for me.
I used to go six days a week, but this can be counter-productive, at least for me, cause I found I kept burning myself out and then not going at all for weeks on end.

This is my third week going to the gym. I started going 3 days a week, but his week from now on it'll be 3 days of aerobics, 2 days of weights. Thank God tomorrow is a weights day, the aerobics are kicking my butt!
I usually go 4-5 days a week but I am learning to listen to my body. If it is exhausted (I rarely sit around and just, do nothing) then I will not get up and go to the gym. I know what you mean though, its addicting! I want to run tomorrow (outside - ooo! lol) but its my day off.
I run when I don't lose steam and motivation and the weather is good
outside. I bike almost nitely on my stationary for 15-45min
depending on the nite. I usually have a day off on the weekends
where usually time is a factor and I just run out before I have an
opportunity for any type of work out. I mess with my weights when
I'm watching TV and didn't run.
In short, I try to run 2-3 times a week.
I bike probably 4-5 nites a week.
Weights I do 3-4 times a week.
All of it is pretty light, pretty irregular and just whatever my mood is. Tonite I ran just cuz I know the weather is going to be horribly hot and humid the rest of the week.
OK, now I'm feeling a bit guilty so I'm going to do some wall push ups and ball sit ups.

I work out Monday thru Friday at the gym at work. I do 4 miles/32 minutes on the elliptical followed by sit ups, crunches, and some weights. On the weekends, no gym, but I try to stay active and moving by going bike riding, gardening, walking, etc.
I've been getting out almost daily for 1.5 - 2 hours of hard bicycling (doing the Chris Carmichaels "Do the Tour, Stay at Home" program right now, for something different, plus it'll get me in shape to start whipping butt on the twentysomethings at the Wednesday night crits next month).
Plus, the 2nd Cheat Mountain Challenge is coming up in September, and they've added a pretty sturdy climb to the beginning, on top of the monster climbs at the end. 105 miles and 10,000 feet of climbing, on some truly stunning roads. I need to be ready, or else Black Mountain is going to kick my butt ... again.

I go swimming 3 times a week. I'd do exercise on the days that I don't go but I really can't find anything to keep me interested. I get bored of exercise very easily unless it's swimming :(
I'm very excited! Today is my second rehab exercise class! After spending most of February and March of this year nearly bedridden, I've come a long way.
My goals are to increase my lung capacity and endurance so that I can walk everywhere like I used to. I want my muscles to be stronger. I want to be able to work in my garden again too and to be less dependent on supplemental oxygen. I know these seem like nothing compared to all of you who are building muscle and burning calories, but it's a big step for me.
I have class 3 times a week - 1 hour of classroom education and 1 hour of monitored exercise with supplemental oxygen.

I can understand the importance, claire.. my mother has COPD, and I wish she was doing as well as it sounds like you're doing :/
Good luck!
Good luck!
I took work out 6-7 days a week, sometimes twice a day depending on how busy i am, I walk to work as well so thats about 2 miles of walking each day that i didn't even realize i'd been doing.
i play on a soccer team 2 nights a week (90 mins, we don't use subs)
run 2 mornings a week
lift weights two mornings a week
yoga one day

yoga one day
running 4-5 days a week, something else cardio 1-2 days a week
(eliptical or stationary bike), yoga when i can swing it. i'd like to
become a bit more disciplined about weight-training. i've sorta slacked
in that area lately, and i can tell a difference--less definition than
i use to have.

i work out about every day. strength training and some sort of cardio everyday
I walk three miles every day, or forty-five minutes to an hour of DDR on some days to keep it varied. I'm trying to get into some toning exercises a few times per week, as well. Works great for me - I'm losing about 2lb a week!
I walk to an from work every day (so usually 6-7 days a week) which is about 25 minutes each way. Downhill to work, uphill back home (oh, Halifax, your hills, your hills!) so I figure it evens out. I also jog for 20 minutes every other day, and I do calisthenics when I feel like it. I've been feeling really run down lately, so I've been taking it easy, but once I get my energy back I'm going to try to do the calisthenics every day I don't jog.
Wow...you guys are hardcore and make me feel guilty. I walk to and from work every day--4 miles each day in total. I do yoga 2 to 3 times per week and kickboxing once a week. Hmmm...i was feeling good about that until i saw that everyone is a hardcore runner! But i hate running. Can't pick it up! i need a swimming pool.
