I always used to think that kind of stupidity behaviour was fiction until I was watching the program "The First 48." Seems that it is quite common Stateside.

I don't remember people doing it when I was younger. And I'm not going to say that I think its the influence of foreigners moving into our country.

 Pretty much.  The city he works in has a "no firecracker" law, so he'll be stuck taking calls today and tomorrow from peeved off neighbors who turn their other pyro neighbors in.

I tend to agree. i think it's a fairly recent activity. Possibly the last 10 years. Not sure it it related to the generation of kids listening to gangster rap/thug music, the change in laws and the ages that people can be charged with certain offences, alcohol/drug influenced decisions & the fact that some factions of people don't care about their own lives, never mind someone else's. We had an occurrance on Canada Day.
