oh no. i went out of control.
i pigged out yesterday and today..
yesterday, 1800 cal and today 2100 cals.
(white bread, biscuits and chocolates -most foods i ate)
my maintenance should be around 1500-1700.
and since i wanna lose weight, i should eat 1200-1300 a day.
i'm a bit worried about this. will i gain weight?
any advices, motivation, or violent reaction, anyone?
Everyone goes out of control now and again. Don't beat yourself up.
It's done - finished- now get back on track
It's done, so eat back on track and DON'T restrict to make up for it, you'll just end up hungry and will likely overeat again if you try to do that. It's not that many calories, so you can probably still lose this week, but don't worry if you don't, it's only 2 days.
You shouldn't gain anything unless it happens a lot. 3500 -extra calories before gaining 1lb.
Based on what you wrote above your only at 500-700 over, so you shouldn’t gain anything. I'm sure it will equal out at the end of the week if you continue to do better.
Don't sweet it.
I would monitor a suggested maintenance of 1500 calories, sounds a bit off. I'm bet your more in the 1700 - 1800 area (not basing that on anything other than a maintenance of 1500 seems low for most humans).
If you find you start to lose more weight eating 1500-1700 than you did eating the 1200-1300 a day, I would take that as a sign that you weren't eating enough before.
I totally pigged out yesterday, too. Stressed out because of finals.
But I weighed myself this morning and I was only .3 ounces more!
It takes a lot of overeating to see a change in weight.

i wouldn't be so sure about that.
I gained 2 lbs. of real weight over the course of 3 days. That was mid-February. I'm still working on taking it off. Only lost 1/2 pound since then.

Birthdays - Cake, pizza, ice cream, lasagna, booze.... in addition to my normal healthy foods earlier in the day. And repeat. LOL
I'm 5'1", my maintenance (without exercise) is 1,400-1,500. You should be completely fine. You haven't eaten anywhere near the extent that I have.
oh i c.. i'm 5'1" too..
i just get paranoid when i exceed my calorie intake for the day, especially when it comes from unhealthy foods, like white bread, chocolates, muffins etc..
I get anxious too sometimes. But once or twice is not gonna kill ya. Especially if you are staying within the 2,000 range. You can't cut out the bad stuff forever and ever. That's not realistic, unless you actually don't like that junk food. I, for one, would die without chocolate. And I'm not talking about some 80% dark bittersweet full of antioxident chocolate. lol I'm talking HFCS milk chocolate with creamy caramel or peanut butter oozing outa it. ![]()
Enjoy your favorite goodies, just eat healthy 80% of the time. When you do that, and (mindfully) indulge in a sweet, you can say, "Yes, I deserve this!"
word :)
sometimes, i always swear i'm never gonna get tempted to eat the "bad" stuff anymore. but when it's around, u cant help but take a bite or indulged. but the good thing is, i never miss to exercise.. that makes me feel good, esp when i had a bad day the day before.
i'm carb crazed too, not so much of chocolates though, i can get a grip with that, but bread? my my.. it's my trouble food. why do bread have to be so delicious? danggggg. XD and it's always white bread. too bad bakeries near our place doesnt sell any whole wheat or multi grain breads, and it's a hassle to go to the grocery which is a bit far, just to buy bread. :(
Do you have a bread machine and try making your own? You could make a few loaves and freeze them so that a) you can't binge on them and b) they last you a long time.
I completely pigged out the other day because i had my gcse tests and i thought i done badly so i ate loads. i didn't put anything on.
nah, i don't have a bread machine.. i'm currently relying on whole wheat crackers and ketchup when i feel snackish and some fruits.. i'm just glad my brothers eat a lot, they finished off the bread before i was tempted to eat. lol
well, I guess it depends what your overeating with...
