It should be mentioned that probably about 2 of those pounds are temporary and do not represent fat gain.

I feel your pain. >__< It's easier to binge for a week rather than exercise and eat well for a week.

Don't dwell on it - what's done is done.  Get back on the horse and start a new week healthy.  You can do it !  Don't be so hard on yourself either, you're only human.  Just pick up your socks and stay focussed on your goal.

I doubt you really gained 4 pounds.  You would have had to have ate 14,000 (2,000 a day) calories over your bmr in order to gain that much.  Either you weighed yourself at a different time of day than normal or you have extra water weight, possible due to your monthly cycle.

Like others have said, it's probable that you haven't gained a full 4lb. Either way, it's done now so forget about it and get back on track. There's no use dwelling on it or making yourself feel bad just start over and anything you've gained will come off again.
