Oh no...a vacation!
I am going to Las Vegas tomorrow for my sisters 21st birthday. I was curious if anyone had any tips on maintaining a healthy diet while on vacation. I've lost over 8lbs so far and am at my lowest weight in years...I would hate to mess things up. Please don't say no alcohol because that is what I am looking forward to the most!
Just got back from Vegas....drank all I wantded and hit two buffets a day.....just make good food choices and stay active walk walk walk........I ran five miles on the strip each morning up your activity and have a blast out there!
I wouldn't worry. I have just returned last night from a weekend away in Greece. Yes, my weight has changed a bit but I am not concerned. I knew that was the consequence of my choices of drinks & ice-cream!!
Just make the good choices:
- Avoid the obviously fatty choices (fries, bacon, cheese, alcohol, icecream)
- Only have 1 serving so that you still control your portions.
- Throw in as much movement in any given day that you are away.
Then you'll see that it won't be so bad ![]()

Enjoy yourself! tomorrow is a new day! just walk it off, and don't overdo it with bad food or tons of alcohol! But have fun! You deserve it!!
Im gonna have the same issue in about a month. Dont worry about drinking! Stick to UNFLAVORED rum, vodka, whiskey and gin. They hav NO CARBS! and they are low in calories. 1 oz of vodka has around 67 calories. Then mix these alcohols with diet soda... or flavored water...no sugar...no calories!
If you go to a buffet try to only go up once. And try to stick with grilled items... not fried. Limit your intake of starches... pasta, rice, and bread. And try to balance your plate. Make sure you have protein some healthy fat (fish) and veggies!
