Good Afternoon Friends:))
Ok well yesterday was a good evening for meeh. I got home from work and my bf wanted to get something to eat. He was craving a Quiznos sandwich. Anyways we get there and I order my usual Classic Cobb Salad. I love those, they are great. Ok well it also comes with some YUMMO flatbread. I told my sweetie that I didnt want the salad cuz it came with that bread. He says " behave just get it, just eat 2 pieces of it instead of 4". Then I say " Im not gonna be able to just eat 2 pieces" Then he says " Well just eat all four its not bad for you, its a freakin salad". Ok so I get my salad we come home and I begin to eat it. I start to take really slow bites of that flat bread. I must say that with every bite I took I looked at the bread for about 3 seconds and questioned myself as to why I was eating it. OH well what do u know after about 3/4 of tha salad was done I had only eaten 2 of the breads. Then to my surprise I really felt FULL!! I mean to me this is a big deal cuz I used to scarf down all four. OK well about the pizza....I ended up dozing off for about 30 min and my bf had left to a friends. I got up go to the kitchen to check on my son. Well what do I see on top of the stove. PIZZA!!!!!!! Now at that moment there is not one part of body that is telling my Im really hungry. Something in my brain switched and was telling me that I needed a piece of that pizza because its sooo yummy and delicious. Now nobody could see me get this piece of pizza cuz it is already known in the household that I am on a diet. I go to my room lay on the bed and am still thinking about a piece of pizza. Well 2 minutes later my friend calls and we begin talking about exercise and our whole lifestyle change. N guess what I forget about the pizza and Im not craving it anymore. I guess just the talk with her about what I was doing already to better myself got my mind off that slice of pizza. Well I didnt eat that pizza and IM VERRY VERRY pround of myself. I also did my walk too.
Thanks alot for listening guys. My next question...Is there anyone at all who can relate to these feeling with food? Or am I just a crazy fool. Like I am here this morning and I wake up wanting to eat, I cant put something bad in my mouth so I go for a banana. And what do I see next to the banana. A gigantic Snickerdoodle cookie. I didnt take one bite.
Thanks for listening...Any help:)

Thanks alot guys!!! I cant believe how this is feeling to meeh. I just started Monday and this is my first weekend on this "diet". Man is it hard to be here at the house surrounded by food. I feel like a junkie needing a fix. Is this how people feel when they withdraw from drugs. I feel ashamed for feeling this way. Like I need the food to feel good. I CANT DO IT, I WONT DO IT.
WOW you have some willpower! If you keep making conscious decisions like these, you will have so much success. Good for you and congratulations!
Well I know that feeling too well. I'm usually able to just ignore it, forget about it.
All you have to do, is think of something different or do something that makes you forget that piece of cake/pizza/sweet stuff that's still lying arround because you don't need it.
I have found a really strange way to get rid of those stuff. I get that extra piece of bad stuff and put it in the refridgerator lol. Out of sight, out of mind, hopefully someone else discovers it in the fridge and eats it instead of me, that said, I only do this in extreme cases but it works hehe...

Typically, a slice (medium) of cheese pizza runs about 220 calories, so if the place has a salad bar, I'll do that first THEN eat the pizza, and not allow myself more than 2 slices. I try not to have pizza very often, and if I do, try to do it on a 'treat' day (which is a day I know that my calories may not be close to usual). But you should allow yourself a treat every once in a great while. If you deprive yourself too much, you're going to get frustrated and want to eat everything.
However aside from that, it is great that you were able to get 'redirected' and not go for it after all. That's part of the cognitive therapy I had to work on when working on the binges. Keep up the good work!

I think that is an amazing victory and you should feel incredibly pleased with yourself.
Yay!!!!
Yay!!!!
This topic makes me feel a bit guilty as we recently got Little Caesars pizza in our house (it was our favorite as kids growing up and I haven't had it in probably 8 or more years!) so it looked soooo tempting. Usually a large pizza has around 8 or so slices, but I doubled that by re-cutting the whole pizza, and scarfed down a small slice and a oh so yummy bread stick. It was amazing. ;-D
i am so proud of you! I feel the same way about food as you. I think many of us feel that way. Food sings its siren song and I feel helpless. Well, after seeing my reflection in a mirror recently and my size 3X clothes getting very snug, I decided enough is enough. Keep up the good work, talk to a friend (a supportive one, not one who will go into agreement with you about eating the food), drink water, or just DO something to get your mind off the food. It's very clear that if we get our mind onto something, it will stay off the food. I also find that eating smaller portions throughout the day is better than 3 large meals. I also found recently that if I eat a large meal, I will feel so sleepy, as if I'm been drugged, and it's very hard to function! So, I'm keeping my hunger in check by eating at a minimum of every two hours. That way, your body can't sabotage you by saying, "I'M HUNGRY!" It might only say, "Hmm, can I have a little something?" And you will (hopefully) respond with,"O.K., self, have an apple." :)
