OJ guilty of armed robbery
wow. they're saying he'll probably be in jail for the rest of his life. and it's the 13th anniversary of his murder acquittal.
justice, finally?
Wow. I think it's sad that he gets away with murder and walks away scott free, but the armed robbery is what gets him jail time.
Justice.
Irony

I don't know.....armed robbery (same as aggravated robbery, right?) is a term from 5-99 (here in TX).
I know someone who plead no contest and is on probation for five years.
I don't think he will go to jail at all. If he has proper representation, he will get probation.
Just my thoughts.
^^Naw. He was found guilty on all charges and he's too poor to have proper representation.
Hmmm...well, thats what he gets for trying to get off. Sucks to be the juice :)

Armed robbery carries a mandatory sentence of at least two years behind bars, and could bring as much as 30.
and he was found guilty on 12 counts, including kidnapping as well as the armed robbery. apparently if he receives the minimum sentence on each charge, he's looking at 20+ years.
he's in jail without bail until sentencing december 5, so that's a good sign. there will be appeals, of course, but he's not going anywhere.
I could google it, but.....what is the difference between aggravated robbery and armed robbery?
Man, 12 counts including kidnapping....no wonder. He's screwed.
You always pay *eventually*
OJ is a symbol of all that is wrong with our justice system: You get fantastic legal representation if youre rich...you dont if you arent. Im happy for the families of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown that he's finally going to jail, but this doesnt really bring any resolution to the murder trial. As long as lawyers will be willing to lie about the "innocence" of their rich clients for money (aka forever) something like the OJ trial could totally happen again.
hope he rots there
At least they got him for something. I was 9 when that happened so obviously don't know a lot about it but just did some reading up on it and saw the murder photos (didn't expect that -.- I just searched google to see what they looked like)...the whole thing makes me sick, it was really sad to see what was done to them.
Karma would be him stuck dieing in a fiery car crash. He did another wrong, so it's more like a second chance of justice. He is 61, hopefully he gets the 20+ year sentence and lives to the last day of it.

exactly what i was thinking...
Can I just say as a Buffalo Ban fan that it's really really sad to see what happened to the Juice? :/ The man was one of our greatest running backs ever and now... now.. *sigh*
Hey maybe he'll find the "real Killer" in there- probably easier than looking for him on the golf course.
I feel sorry for his kids. What a life he's led, from famous to infamous. Wonder what his cell mates will think of him?

I used to watch football with my dad and I can remember how awesome he was on the field. It is a shame to see someone of his talent turn out so badly.
In the end you reap what you sow. He got away with murder, will we ever know the truth. He was involved with their murders for sure. He gets what he deserves. Writing a book like he did how egotistical, he needs to be in jail and think of what a mess he's made of his life and everyone around him.
