How is it different from regular green tea?  I'm drinking a mug of regular green tea right now.
ooooo! how is that going for u.. has it benefited u in anyway ... like your health or your apetite..
Hmm, it's hard to say. I'm a big tea drinker, I always drank a fair amount of black tea and black tea has a lot of the same properties as green tea, just in smaller amounts.  I decided to swich to some green due to the anti-oxidant benefits (ie, it has more.)  At this point my health is good, but it always has been, so that's not a change.  I have lost a ton of weight (74 lbs) but that has been from reducing my calories and exercising.  I figure that I drink tea anyway and if green tea helps reduce disease and maybe burns a tad bit more calories (I doubt that it's all that much) why not drink it instead?  The problem is that I dont' like it as well, but I"m thinking of buying some of the kind with Jasmine, which is all this stuff is.  I'll just get it at the grocery.

Oh, I just googled it to find out what it is.
Twindaze-Have you tried the Earl Grey Green tea? It's very good. Like you, I'm a big tea drinker, and also decided to add some green tea in for the benefits.
This won't answer your question about the okinawan green tea (sorry!) but, my favorite tea is white tea.  The berry or citrus flavored kinds are absolutely delicious!

I don't think any tea will make you lose a jean size in 1 week, unless you're using that tea to replace snacks like cookies and such every night.

But, try some white tea.  it goes through less processing, thus it has a lot more of the 'good things' than black or green tea, and it has less of the 'grassy' taste of green tea, it's quite mild and yummy :)
I think that green tea is awsome and is awsome for you but that ad... Which I saw as well is a lie!  There is no way you will loose a whole jean size in a week by drinking some magic tea. (unless you only drink the tea and nothing else for a week)   I have been exercizing and watching my cals. now for over two months and have lost almost 15 pounds and I have not dropped a whole pant size yet.  If you lost that much weight that fast it would not only be unhealthy but you would probably gain it back twice as fast.  I am no expert but I hate to see people investing their money and hopes into something that is bound to be disappointing.  Invest in some natural green tea because it is good for you and low in cals and skip the false advertising.
mmm..I agree with jassislove!!

I used to drink about 3 cups of coffee per day and smoke a pack of cigarettes every 2 days. Since January first I have replaced both with yummy delicious WHITE TEA (I should have my own commercial). I was drinking green tea, but once I tried white and read about it I made the switch. It really is less grassy and research is suggesting that it's actually even better for you than green.

I drink a ridiculous amount of the stuff..probably about 6-10 cups a day....but I've found that my appetite has been suppressed a bit since I've been drinking it. It could be from other things, but who knows. It's also rumoured to help increase your metabolism, but I certainly wouldn't rely on tea alone to lose weight.
I have also seen the adds, and am really curious as to if anyone has tried it.
I don't think that you will lose the weight that fast on its own, but the tea does have a reputation of being supreme and very health benificial. I am considering ordering some myself.

i think a lot of weight-loss products base their claims on substitution, ie: if you usually drink two liters of pepsi and you substitute two liters of tea (which, aside from any antioxidants or metabolism-boosting properties, is mostly water), you will lose.
Herbal teas of all kinds help me lose weight, because I've substituted them for my usual evening snacking.  There are a lot of health benefits, but I doubt that any tea is a magic cure.  Like any dietary aid, it's usually marketed in conjunction with (and in very fine print) with diet and exercise, so that's what will cause the real weight loss.
I recommend the Okinawan tea from the Okinawa Diet creators: okinawaway.com

I've been drinking it for a while now and have lost weight. I love it.  I drink between 6 to 8 cups of the stuff every day. But I also follow the Okinawa Diet, so that helps too.

The Okinawa Way site has a bunch of research about the benefits of the tea on their site: http://okinawaway.com/research.php

From what I've heard the "ancient Okinawan tea" you see in all the Google ads is a scam -- they are just selling low-grade jasmine tea for $37 dollars a box and ripping off the research of the Okinawa Diet doctors and scientists.

The sanpin tea from Okinawa Way is high grade and organic and the real stuff from the Okinawa Diet creators. Stay away from the other stuff.
