old favorites make you sick?

Has anyone noticed that your old eating habits make you sick? Like I ate 4 slices of papa johns pizza for lunch today (i use to eat that much no problem) and now I've felt terrible allllllll day.  Anyone else notice their body really responding terribly to bad food?

Last summer I ate a slice of really good italian greasy pizza and felt like i gained 5 pounds the next morning. I seriously was convinced that i could see the 5 pounds. It was all psychological but i felt so gross and haven't eaten pizza since. not worth it.

I used to eat McDonald's fairly often for lunch since it's the closest fast food place to my office.  I've been bringing my lunch everyday for about a year, but one day I forgot to bring my lunch and went to McD's instead.  After eating fries and fish filet sandwich (I couldn't resist), I felt terrible.  It felt like the food had sucked all of the energy out of my body and I was sluggish all afternoon.

Well, im actually scared of gettin a burger into my mouth..I just hate that full stomach feeling! I can feel my body triying to digest the fat! IUCK!

Chinese takeaway food...  Used to like it so much I had the place on speed-dial. LOL!  Left it alone for a good 6 months (deleted the speed dial, shredded the menu) before finally caving and ordering something approaching my usual Friday night special.  It was unbelieveably fatty, sugary and salty....  I think I'm cured.

When I was younger I used to eat 6 - 7 sugar cookies & a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar for lunch!

It turns out that strawberry shortcake ice cream bar = 180 Calories 

&

6 Sugar Cookies = 432 Calories 

OH but it gets EVEN BETTER! I would come home from school & have a snack of:

A mini Pizza (from a frozen food delivery service) = 390 Calories!

6 Mozzarella Stix (from the same frozen food delivery service) = 480 Calories

HOLY MOLY: that is 1482 CALORIES!!!!! That is almost MORE or about the same amount I eat NOW in an ENTIRE DAY!!!!!!

*HOW DISGUSTING WAS I!!! it is amazing how much I have CHANGED in the eating department!!!! 

pork fried rice! gah. I'm actually pretty fortunate that it makes me sick now since I absolutely loved it and it was so bad for me lol. but I kinda miss it since it's so gooood.
and McDonald's chicken selects. I used to eat those all the time & got them whenever I was at a fast food place (which was very frequently). then the other day my brother bought them (yeah, he's one of those lucky types who can eat whatever the hell he wants) and i broke off a small piece from one of the strips and almost immediately after I ate it I felt my stomach churning.

and I don't think I've sat down and eaten a whole slice of regular plain cheese pizza in months. wow, I didn't even realize it. usually I order thin crust either plain or with some type of veggies, or if my parents get it I just eat the crust and pick at the bubbles (lol, I love a slice with a lot of bubbles on it. and I'm a crust-eater haha. I used to hate crust, but now it's my favorite part!)

Well I only started CC about a month ago but I have been eating fairly healthy for months now.... One food I used love was doritos. I haven't eaten them in so long but i used to be able to sit down and eat half the bag! that was when my metabolism was super fast. Now I wouldn't think of eating those processed chips. They are terrible!

And McDonalds! yuck but so tasty at the same time. Just wouldn't do that to my body anymore. But occasionally like maybe once every two months, I have to get a burger from in-n-out haha

Friday night fish fry--yep breaded and deep fried, with a large helping of french fries (also deep fried), and served with a good sized portion of cole slaw made with real mayo, and don't forget the clam chowder (creamy) and the bread and butter that goes with it all--yikes ! Now how many calories and how much fat do you think that dinner was?  Don't forget deep fried chicken wings with butter and hot sauce dipped in full fat blue cheese-yummy-When I watch those dinners being served to others I still remember how good they used to taste but the thought of putting that type of food in my mouth makes me ill LOL :-)

vmcbutterfly - i do the same thing. when i eat something such as pizza, french fries, etc. that i used to be able to eat and not really care, i am always convinced that i can see the added pounds right away. haha. probably not a good thing. and it gets even worse when i eat something like that on a non-workout day, EEK! i still like to enjoy a good pizza, but now i cut my slices smaller and eat fewer slices.
